Grab Fido and get a good hike in along the Lodgepole Trail. The trail takes you through the southwestern part of the Eagle Cap Wilderness, and eventually will connect to the Moss Springs Trailhead if you want to continue. While hiking, you will be covered by trees to keep you shaded and will even pass some meadows. Encounter small creeks and lakes while hiking where you and your pup can stop to cool down.
