The city of Juliaetta is located in the northwestern panhandle of Idaho, on the eastern border to Washington. This was a thriving agricultural community in the mid 1800’s, and continues to offer residents its small-town community charm. Juliaetta welcomes visitors to its dog-friendly city,and although there are no veterinarians located within city limits, you will find 4 animal hospitals in the nearby city of Moscow, ready to care for your pawtastic pup!
Head to Centennial Park for a great day’s outing with Fifi. She will love its open spaces to roam around on an extended leash, and the pavilion to relax under during those hot, summer days. Here you will find the trailhead for the Kendrick Juliaetta Bike Trail. Hop on this abandoned rail trail which has been converted into a walking and biking path. It runs for three miles and connects Juliaetta to the nearby town of Kendrick, and is perfect for all pup-abilities.
Or head to the Corkill Bike Trail which runs along the Middle Potlatch Creek. This paved path runs for over 5 miles and is pup-friendly, offering beautiful scenery.
For a short visit or a longer stay, scenic Juliaetta is the place for you both!
Head to the Anderson-Frontier Park, in the Anderson Frontier Park neighborhood in Moscow. This is the place to find plenty of wildlife to photograph and enjoy. There is a wetlands area, as well as a small pond to walk and spot the local fauna. This 4 ½ acres is full of landscaped grassy areas for relaxing with your pup, or letting him run on a long leash. There is a playground for the young ones, and a picnic shelter to have lunch. Make sure to keep your fur-ever friend on leash and bring plenty of water to share.
East City Park is the place to take your pup in the Fort Russell neighborhood in Moscow, west of Juliaetta. This 7-acre park’s landscaped grounds feature basketball courts and a playground for the kiddies. You will also find lots of open spaces where your pup is welcome to run on an extended leash and plenty of shady areas under the park’s trees. Why not pack a picnic to enjoy under the pavilion, or bring some burgers to flip on the grills? Check out the spring and summer entertainment at their concert stage with Fifi by your side!
The F–Cleaveland neighborhood in the city of Moscow, west of Juliaetta, offers you and Fido four parks, including Kiwanis Park, with a nature trail, Rotary Park, and the Mountain View Park, with a dedicated 16 acres of off-leash fun for your pup! There is plenty of grass, a small creek for Fido to play in, and a walking trail, all along the scenic banks of Paradise Creek. Or you can visit the Moscow Dog Park, which covers one acre and is completely fenced in. There are pup toys, a clean-up station and a drinking water spout provided, with porta-potties on-site.
