This dog park features two separate areas: one for large dogs and one for small dogs that weigh less than 30 pounds. Both areas are completely fenced, and they have lots of space for dogs to run and play with their new friends. If your dog gets thirsty while they’re playing, water is available. If you want to take your dog for a longer walk, there’s a trail right outside the fenced areas that goes along the perimeter of the dog park. Pups must be leashed on this trail. If you want to go on a furrific hike with your dog, head to Natural Land Trust’s Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary. This 200-acre hillside sanctuary is located 24 miles from Northampton, and it welcomes dogs on-leash. If you want to get amazing views of the Delaware River, try the 0.3-mile River Lookout Trail. Or, if you’d rather go on a longer trek through the woods, check out the .08-mile Main Trail. You can also try the 0.3-mile South Fox Trail, which takes you to the highest point in the sanctuary, or you could go on the short but scenic 0.25-mile Chimney Rock Trail. Bring some water and doggy bags, and have a great time hiking here.
