Bangor
Bangor has a couple campgrounds to stay at with your pup. Hickory Lake Campground is located at 264 Laurel Hill Road. This campground allows dogs under 40 pounds to camp with their people. Dogs must be kept on leash while in the campground. Camp Charles Campground is located at 1077 Blue Mountain Drive. Camp Charles welcomes dogs for an additional fee of $5 per dog/per stay. Dogs that camp with their people at Camp Charles must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet while in the campground. Dinky’s Ice Cream Parlor on 103 Broadway serves burgers and a variety of delicious ice cream desserts outside in dog-friendly tables.36

Bethlehem
Bethlehem is 22 miles south of West Bangor. Monocacy Dog Park is located at Illick’s Mill Road. Dogs may run and socialize off leash in this 1.5-acre dog park. Monocacy has a separate area for small dogs. Both surfaces are covered by grass. The dog park has water and water bowls. Waste bags and receptacles are conveniently located. There are benches, picnic sites, and pavilions for the human companion. The main park has beautiful walkways and trails. Bridges are built over a small creek that flows through the park. Dogs are allowed on leash in the main areas of the park.24

Nazareth
Nazareth is 12 miles south of West Bangor. Nazareth Borough Dog Park is located at 328 Black Rock Road. This dog park gives dogs the opportunity to run and play off-leash. The small dogs have a separate area just for them. This dog park has a grassy surface, and it is built on a hillside. The position on the hillside makes for a great view of the main park below. The dog park does not have water, so don’t forget to bring some of your own. Waste bags, though, are in good supply. After a romp in the dog park, head into the main park to explore its trails and open spaces. Just make sure to keep Fido on a leash.12

East Stroudsburg
East Stroudsburg is 11 miles north of West Bangor. East Stroudsburg has some fun things for you and your pup to do. Judy Putek Dog Park is located at 108 Leroy’s Lane. This community dog park has all the amenities a dog and person could want. There is a fully fenced area where the leashes come off, and the fun begins. A separate area for the smaller dogs gives them a safe place for their own diminutive socialization. The site has water and waste bags. Human companions will find ample seating at the park. The trail around the dog park provides another opportunity for more exercise for a pup with that human companion in tow.
