Hi! My name is Perri, and I've been living in Boston for the past 7 years. Growing up, I had 2 chocolate labradors, Bubba and Dudley, who I cared for and followed me all around the neighborhood making friends. In my adult life, I've cared for/trained pets for friends and roommates including a pitbull puppy named Paisley, an English bulldog puppy named Jasper, and a Yorkshire Terrier named Tammy. I currently have a mixed breed rescue dog named Kane. He has opened up to me and become super sweet to people in the time that I've had him. I like dogs of all shapes and sizes, and I have the patience, temperament, and experience to handle many different breeds. I can't wait to meet your pup too!

Dog Walking in Central Falls

Central Falls is located in Providence County, and is the smallest city in Rhode Island. The Blackstone River makes up the city’s eastern border, and in days past, supported mills of all types. The town grew with the production of leather, candy, cloth, and other materials. Today, local pups love that this small community is walkable in distance. This tiny town even has its own veterinary clinic.

Although Central Falls is small in size, it has plenty of parks for four legged residents to enjoy. Clip on your pup’s leash and head out for some park hopping. Start your excursion at Jenks Park, one of Central Falls’ most prominent landmarks. Follow the paved paths to get your pup’s heart rate pumping. Stop by Cogswell Tower that sits on Dexter’s Ledge. You and your pal can learn all about the historic battle that took place in Central Falls between a group of Native Americans and colonists in 1676.

For even more history, head over to Veteran’s Memorial Park. Walk around the paths before stopping at the waterfall memorial for some reflection. This park also has a playground and splash pad.

With such puptastic parks, it’s no wonder dogs love living in Central Falls!

Sacred Heart Park is a pawsome place to spend some quality time with your four legged companion. Your pup will love sniffing around the open lawn and searching for squirrels and sticks in the groves of trees. There is also a playground and basketball court available. Most importantly, this park has an off leash area where your pooch can ditch her leash and romp around with new friends. Petite pups have their own area, so if your dog is on the small side, she can enjoy the park at her own pace. Don’t forget to bring some water; all that playing will make her one thirsty pup!

Nestled in the rolling hills of Lincoln, this gorgeous patch of nature is only 10 minutes outside of Central Falls. Originally a dairy farm, this property is now a puptastic walk in the countryside. A 1.5 mile path meanders through open meadows and groves of trees. You’ll even pass a small pond. At the end of the trail, you’ll be rewarded with a panoramic view of the area. Pawtucket Dog Park is just waiting for your pooch. This puptastic off leash park is located inside Slater Park in the nearby town of Pawtucket, just a 20 minute drive from Central Falls. Head over so your pal can socialize and run off some energy. There’s plenty of room for a game of chase or romping around. Your pal can also climb on, over and through the agility equipment. Small dogs even have their own area to play in. Benches are provided for pet parents. Since the ground is mostly dirt, your buddy may get a little muddy, especially during the spring.
