“The love of dog is a pure thing .”

Hello I’m a very trustworthy person who loves working with animals. I have grown up with many animals and have owned many dogs. I currently have two fur babies. My fur babies are considered part of my family and I would do anything for them. I think these four legged fur babies are the best with their unconditional love and just wanting to please you, they expect nothing in return except your love. I would be very happy to help other pet owners with their fur babies. Sincerely Patti

Dog Walking in Charleston

Dog Walking Fun Fact #1:

If your dog is too bored to behave when you are gone, you could be coming home to a mess. Without enough physical and mental stimulation, even good dogs could chew or dig their way to excitement. Daily walks can work out your dog’s energy while they take in all the sights, sounds and smells of their territory. Explore new places on a dog-friendly walking tour through historic Charleston to really get your pup’s mind working.

Dog Walking Fun Fact #2:

Dogs love to play, but rubbing noses with their peers can also help them be better dogs. Just like in the wild, our dogs learn important social behavior as they play together, and they can also build confidence with each new experience. Help your dog be their best on a walk or in a Charleston dog park where there’s lots of chances to meet and play with furiends.

Dog Walking Fun Fact #3:

Exercise is the key to health, and your dog is no exception. Regular activity can curb conditions that could shorten your dog’s active years, such as arthritis, obesity and diabetes. Taking daily walks are a great way to stay in shape and spend time together. For a change of scenery, head to Sullivan Island Beach where you can run along the sands and splash in the ocean with your pup.

Average Cost of Dog Walking in Charleston

Hiring a dog walker is a great way to keep your dog moving in Chucktown while you are gone, but how much does it cost? Short 15-minute walks average around $20, while 30-minute ones can be up to $30. Longer 60-minute treks for active dogs range from $35 up to $50. And if you need a last-minute walk, some services could charge you additional fees.

Booking a walk with Wag! means walks whenever your dog needs them at prices you can afford. Every day of the week, your dog can take a 20-minute stroll for $15, a 30-minute walk for $20, or even a 60-minute adventure for only $30. You’ll never pay extra for walks in the same day with on-demand walks. And if your canine pal never runs out of steam, you can save 15% when you book multiple walks in advance.

Thoroughly vetted dog walkers with Wag! know that safety is priority number one, and make sure you know where your dog is at all times with real time GPS tracking through the Wag! app. You’ll also get a report card after each walk to let you know how much fun your dog had on their adventure.

Dog Parks in Charleston

Chances are your dog wants to see more than just churches in The Holy City, and this town on the harbor doesn’t disappoint. While you’ll love strolling the landscaped gardens and walking paths of Hampton Park Terrace’s namesake park, your dog will be tugging the leash all the way to the Hampton Park Dog Run. Dogs of all sizes can mingle in this fenced-in space featuring benches for pup pawrents, and water for thirsty pooches.

Enjoy views of Rainbow Row’s pastel townhomes on a walk through the lively South of Broad neighborhood in Downtown. Don’t furget a stop at the Hazel Parker Park Dog Run where city pups can get romping off leash in a shady, shared enclosure. The run is surfaced in gravel and features benches and water, and if you go before 9 AM or after 6 PM, your dog can also run free in the adjacent grassy field too!

Across the Ashley River on the western side of the city, West Ashley is known for its eateries and bars, but amongst the resident canines, the Ackerman Park Dog Run is where the fun is at! This highly shaded space is fully fenced-in, and offers a puptastic spot to run and play with furiends. History buffs will love a walk around a preserved English settlement at the Charles Towne Landing State Historic Area where you can see replica cannons, a trading ship, walk the trails and spot various species of wildlife with your leashed pup

Head to James Island for a pup oasis at the James Island County Dog Park that has everything your dog could want. With a small dog area, 4-acres of grass for romping, drinking water, a beach on a fresh-water pond pawfect for swimming, and even a wash station, you can extend the fun outside the fence with on-leash camping and hiking too!

Before heading out to any off-leash parks, be sure your dog is up to date with all vaccinations and licenses. Keep your dog leashed everywhere outside of off leash areas, and when entering and exiting them. Always have clean-up bags on hand to promptly pick up any messes. Some parks have additional rules or fees for entry, so be aware of these before you visit.

Dog Walking in Charleston with Wag!

It’s no fun when you are gone, but your dog can still have a furrific day with dog walkers on the Wag! platform that are ready to keep your dog’s tail wagging with a walk through the streets of lovely Charleston.

Active Charleston favorites, such as Labrador Retrievers and German Shorthaired Pointers, can work out their energy on plenty of 60-minute treks. If your Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is itching to explore, a 30-minute meander through the neighborhood is sure to please this pup. Spritely Yorkies may be small, but always let you know when its time for adventure. Your tiny terrier would love a 20-minute spin around the block. And when your elderly French Bulldog just needs a check-in, Wag! can Drop-In at home to get that tail wagging too.

Booking a walk with Wag! is easy! Just download the Wag! app, choose a date and time, then pick the right length for your pup. With one-time walks, recurring walks for the energy furball in your life, or on-demand walks for the same day, there’s something for every kind of dog.
