“Safe and Sound”

I was fortunate to have owned a mobile pet sitting business. For 18 years, I was able to do what I loved; providing pet care. I aimed to bring as much joy into their day as they brought to mine. I am mature, reliable and communicate well. Keeping the furry family safe and sound is my main goal. I closed in 2017 to provide full time care for my 92 year old mother. Now, I am in a position to care for pets once again and look forward to the opportunity to do so via WAG.

“Keeping your pets safe and happy are my goals!”

I recently moved to South Carolina from Southern California. I have grown up with and been around dogs of all sizes and temperaments. I own two dogs myself, one is a senior and both are rescues. My younger dog is very strong so I can work with dogs who may pull. I love being outside and meeting new dogs and learning about all their little unique quirks and talents. I also enjoy catching your dogs best angles and funny faces in photos!

Dog Walking in North Charleston

North Charleston, unsurprisingly located just north of Charleston, is South Carolina’s third largest city. North Chucktown, as it’s lovingly called by locals, dates all the way back to the 1600s, making it a great place for history buffs to visit. North Charleston also isn’t too far away from some other great vacation spots, including Edisto Island, Hilton Head Island, and Myrtle Beach. If you’re looking to have some fun in the sun, give this bustling city a try!

However, North Charleston isn’t just great for those of us with two legs! It’s also a great city for your canine companions. With two water parks and several restaurants that are dog-friendly, the city’s a great option for those who want to spend more time with their furry friends. There are also a handful of veterinarian clinics in the city, and that number doubles if you’re willing to drive a few miles outside of North Charleston. That means you and your family can find the perfect vet for your pup; you don’t have to settle. If you’re looking for a city to spend some quality time with your dog, give North Charleston a go!

North Charleston’s Charleston Heights neighborhood is home to Riverfront Park Dog Park! As the name implies, this park is located on the river, but you don’t have to worry about your pup getting into it; this dog park is completely fenced in, allowing your dog to have some safe but serious fun off his leash. Riverfront Park Dog Park has agility equipment for your dog to explore while having a pawesome time with his new friends! Your pooch can explore the rest of Riverfront Park with you, but once he leaves the designated dog park area, he’ll have to be on a leash. Baggies not provided.

Ashley Acres is home to the one of the only local water parks made just for dogs! Wag-n-Splash guarantees that your pooch will have fun while getting to do the doggie paddle with his close friends. You must have an appointment to use the pool, but that’s really for your dog’s safety; he might already be nervous, and being around a bunch of new dogs might make it worse. The pool is heated, and the water in the massive pool is filtered saltwater. Don’t miss the opportunity to let your adventurous pup catch a wave!

Located seven miles from North Charleston is Charleston’s French Quarter, and if you’re willing to make the trip, you’ll love visiting Hazel Parker Park Dog Run. Try saying that three times fast! This off-leash dog park is very large, giving your dog plenty of space to run around with his new friends, whether they’re chasing each other or playing with a favorite toy. Water and waste bags aren't provided here, so please remember to bring some. No one wants to accidentally step in any mess left behind! Your dog will need a leash to explore the rest of the park with you.

Exactly ten minutes from the heart of North Charleston is Charleston’s Ashleyville neighborhood, home to Ackerman Park Dog Run! This completely fenced in dog run is huge; your dog will leave completely worn out from having so much fun while running around. That also means there’s plenty of space for your pup to chase after his favorite toy, whether it’s a ball or a Frisbee. Keep in mind there aren’t separate sections for different sized dogs, so watch your pooch closely. Make sure to bring waste disposal bags and water along with you, as the park doesn’t provide them.

If you and your pup love exploring nature together, make sure to visit Palmetto Islands County Park! Although this park is about twenty minutes away from North Charleston, the fun you’ll both have definitely makes up for it. Palmetto Islands County Park spans nearly one thousand acres, and there are two separate trails located within the park! Fido needs to be on his leash at all times, which is the safest option; local wildlife is frequently spotted in the park. Make sure to bring along water and waste disposal bags.
