Dog Areas in Kiawah Island

1 Eatery

Kiawah Island is a barrier island just off the Eastern Coast, 25 miles southwest of Charleston, South Carolina. With scenic views of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, as well as plenty of award-winning golf courses which the city is known for, it’s easy to see why one would want to spend their time in this South Carolina dreamscape. Best of all, it has a number of fun things to do with your doggy, both in the immediate area and in the nearby city of Charleston.

Take your pup to Kiawah Beachwalker Park, an expansive public beach available for you and your precious pup to explore. Here, you'll find a snack bar where chairs and umbrellas can be rented as well. Keep your leashed pup on hand while making your way to the off-leash beach area for doggies. Be sure to keep an eye on where the off-leash area ends and begins, because there can be a pretty hefty fine if you let doggy in an area they shouldn’t be! You and your pal aren’t rule breakers, though, are you?

Kiawah Island and its surrounding areas are just perfect for resting, relaxing, and making un-fur-gettable memories with your pup!

If you’re this close to Charleston, you can’t miss out on exploring the wonderful city, especially considering that it's one of South Carolina's biggest tourist destinations. Charleston is famous for a lot of things, but one of its most pawpular attractions is the Old Charleston Ghost Tours. Bring your brave barker to explore all things scary in Charleston, on a 90-minute walk that is great for any fitness level. Your guide may even tell you a special story about a ghost hound who walks the streets of Charleston at night. That’s pretty spooky, but you’re not afraid of ghosts, right? Besides, you'll have your best furry friend there to protect you!
