If you’re looking for a good walk with your pup pal, somewhere to take in all the scenery of the area, make your way to South Charleston, where you’ll find White Point Gardens. While your precious pup will have to be leashed for the duration of your stay here, the sights can’t be missed: shady oaks, rolling hills, as well as other doggies who will be eager to meet your little buddy. The locals are friendly, especially when it comes to our four-legged friends, so feel free to work on socialization skills here! It’s the perfect place for you and pup alike!

James Island

Finally, you absolutely have to take your darling doggy to arguably one of the best dog parks in Charleston. James Island County Park has everything you could ask for and more when it comes to your canine companion. There is a dog beach, grassy areas to roam, as well a smaller fenced-in area for small breed dogs to play freely off their leashes. You’ll need to bring some fresh water and possibly your collapsible water bowl (better safe than sorry), but doggy waste bags are provided or you at the location.
