Just east of these parks, you’ll find the Sawmill Branch flowing gently through Summerville. The Sawmill Branch has a multi-use 7 mile long pathway that borders it. In the south end of Summerville, in the neighborhood of Westoe, you can find a beautiful space to get back into nature with your pupper. This park has 70 acres of protected wetland and forest situated along the beautiful Ashley River. There is a 1.5 mile hiking trail that wanders through this peaceful area. If you like to learn a little more about the local wildlife, check out the informational signs posted throughout the park. Your best pal doesn’t need to feel left out either, because leashed dogs are welcome throughout the park as long as they’re picked up after. Don’t forget the waste bags!
