Book now“Live Laugh Dogs”
Hey there! I am a college student looking for a productive way to spend the summer home and know dog walking is a great fit for me! I was raised around pets, and my first job was a pet groomer’s assistant, so I have spent lots of time getting to work with and understand animals. My pets are practically my children, so I know it can be stressful trusting them with strangers but rest assured, I feel fully comfortable and prepared to walk your pets, and I hope you see that as well!

East Piney River
East Piney River
Situated near the East Piney River, Buckner Park is a great place to take your pup for a walk. You can stroll along the paved walking path or take Fido into the ball field to chase a frisbee or toy. After getting some exercise, relax on a bench or the shaded picnic tables and get a cool drink of water. You can also hike over to Buckner Lake and go fishing or just watch the wildlife with your pooch and the kids. You will need to keep your pup on a leash and bring your own doggie waste bags.

If you are searching for a fun family day with Fido, head over to Lakeview Park and Dickson Lake. The park features plenty of grassy areas where your pup can romp and play or walk laps around the perimeter. You and your pup will also love fishing at the lake, which allows you to fish without a fishing license, but you will need to pay a fee. The lake covers 27-acres and is even handicap accessible. You can stroll around the lake or sit on one of the shaded benches. Be sure to keep your pup on a leash and bring your own water bottles and doggie waste bags.
East Hills/ Luther Lake
East Hills/ Luther Lake
Located in the eastern part of Dickson, Luther Lake is off highway 70 and offers a 14-acre man-made lake where you and your pup can go fishing or watch the wildlife. While walking around the area with Fido on a leash, you will see ducks and geese, and your pooch can roll around in the grass. If you walk around the lake twelve times, it equals a mile if you enjoy keeping track of your steps. The park is also next to Chappell’s Cee Bee Store where you can pick up some nutritious pup food. If you need a treat on the way home, stop by Dairy Queen for a pup cup and milkshake.

Pooch-friendly accommodations are important if you are spending time in Dickson. There are nine different hotels that welcome pups and Super 8 is one of the best. Super8 allows up to two pets for an additional fee, but you need to make reservations in advance. They will try to give you a room on the first floor, and there is a grassy area next door to the motel where you and Fido can walk around and stretch your legs. The Best Western Executive Inn also welcomes two dogs, with room doors that open to the outside. The rooms are large with plenty of space for your pup inside, and there is a nice open grassy area with shade trees where you can walk Fido. Comfort Inn is another option when staying in Dickson, and they welcome two pets for an additional fee.
Acorn Hills
Acorn Hills
Just seven miles east of the center of town, the Montgomery Bell State Park is located in Burns and features a great place to go hiking with the family and your pooch. The park features several different areas including a conference center, campground, and restaurant. You can hike through the wooded area on one of several trails, including the Wildcat to Montgomery Trail which is a moderate difficulty. If you are looking for an easier hike with your older pup, try the Creech Trail which is shorter and less strenuous. If you need a break, stop by one of the picnic areas for a snack and some water, and remember to bring your own doggie waste bags and keep Fido on his leash.
