The tiny town of Clint sits in the shadow of the major metropolis of El Paso. The town does have at least one dog-friendly place to stay. Best Western East El Paso has several rooms to accommodate you and your pup. The hotel allows up to two dogs of any size. There is an additional per night fee. Just west of Clint is the Rio Bosque Park, owned and maintained by the University of Texas. This park has over 300 acres of wetland and desert flora. It is located at 10716 Socorro Road. The park has designated trails of lengths from a half mile to a few miles in length. Dogs are allowed on the trails -- just make sure to keep them on a leash.
East Side El Paso

Clint is 26 miles south of El Paso. The East Side neighborhood of El Paso is home to the Pebble Hills Dog Park, located at 12701 Pebble Hills Blvd. This dog park has 3 acres of fenced flat mostly grassy ground for dogs to run and socialize leash-free. It has a small dog and large dog area. A few pieces of obstacle equipment help give some variety in the otherwise flat field surface. The park lacks water, shade, and places to sit. The Eastwood Dog Park is close by at 3110 Parkwood St. The dog park at Eastwood is a large fenced area for off-leash play. The surface of the dog park is gravel which can get very hot. The dog park has a good supply of doggie bags, but there is no water on-site.
Northwest El Paso

Clint is 26 miles south of El Paso. The northwest neighborhood of El Paso gives dogs a chance to be dogs at the Westside Dog Park, located at 7400 High Ridge Drive. This dog park has three fenced acres separated into two sections. One side is set aside for smaller dogs, and the other for larger ones. The surface of the dog park is grass. Westside has water stations for the dogs. A few small trees give a bit of shade. A couple covered benches are provided for the human companion. Plentiful doggie cleanup bags are available. The dog park is open from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.
South El Paso/Lower Valley

Clint is 26 miles south of El Paso. The south El Paso or Lower Valley neighborhood has a few things a dog and person may want to check out. El Palmas Marketplace located at 1331 George Dieter Drive welcomes leashed dogs to shop with their people. The Marketplace is a retail strip brought together like a mall. It is home to many different stores like Kohl’s, Michael’s, Walgreens, Lowe’s and Bed, Bath & Beyond, just to name a few. Dogs are allowed in the common areas. Each individual store has its own policy about whether dogs are allowed to come inside. If in doubt, just ask!
Central El Paso
Central El Paso
Central El Paso is a neighborhood in El Paso with some places to eat and stay for you and your pup. Holiday Inn Express El Paso Central, located at 409 E. Missouri Ave., allows 4 dogs of any size to stay in one of its dog-friendly rooms for a fee of $25 per dog per stay. Once you’re all settled into your hotel room, you and your pup can head into town and grab some grub at the Rockin Cigar Bar and Grill on 226 Cincinnati Avenue. This restaurant has a large outdoor patio with dog-friendly dining. Your pup stays with you as you dine on some of the restaurant’s special burgers and chicken wings.
