Socorro is as close as you can get to the United States-Mexico Border, and is conveniently located of Interstate 10. Rio Bosque Wetlands Park is plotted on 372 acres and is a mix of wetlands and riverside forest; there are paved walking paths that allow leashed pups and their owners to explore! The Lower Valley Coliseum hosts the dog-friendly St. Patrick’s Day Bully Extravaganza, which is a dog show sponsored by the American Bully Kennel Club. For those visiting from out of town, Socorro Airbnb rentals offer dog-friendly lodging options!

Sun Ridge North
Sun Ridge North is a residential neighborhood that offers plenty of dining and shopping, and is conveniently located off Joe Battle Boulevard. Pebble Hills Dog Park is situated on 3 acres and includes two separate play areas for large and small pups. They also have an obstacle course and water fountains! The local PetSmart hosts fun dog-friendly events including the Small Dog Spree at PetSmart El Paso where your pooch can be entered in contests to win cash and prizes! PetSmart also provides grooming services for all sizes, breed, and ages to make sure your fur baby is looking their best!

Pebblebrook
This family-friendly neighborhood is easily accessible from Montana Avenue and Interstate 10, offering plenty of lodging and outdoor recreation for dog owners! Eastwood Dog Park, also referred to as Album Park, is an off-leash, fully fenced gravel dog park that gives pooches the chance to run, play and socialize with other pups. The local PetSmart hosts fun seasonal events like their Stuff a Stocking event, where they put a huge bin of treats in bulk out for customers to fill their fur baby’s stockings with a variety of treats! If you’re visiting the Pebblebrook area and have your dog with you, consider staying at The Super 8, or La Quinta Inn. They both offer dog-friendly lodging options.

El Paso
The city of El Paso is located 35 minutes northwest of Morning Glory and has a lot of shopping, entertainment, dining, and history. The Chamizal National Monument allows you to walk the path and enjoy local events with your leased dog; it is advised that owners bring plenty of water as there is no water provided and the temperatures can get very hot! The Franklin Mountains State Park also allows puppy parents to bring their leashed dogs along to enjoy their many hiking trails and beautiful scenery. If you and Fido worked up an appetite, Rockin Cigar Bar and Grill welcomes pooches to enjoy their patio!
Canutillo
The community of Canutillo is located along the New Mexico/Texas border and Interstate 10, making it easily accessible from surrounding states and cities. Zin Valle Vineyards allows well-behaved and leashed dogs to meander through their vineyards with their human companions. It’s a fun opportunity for you to enjoy tasting a variety of wines with your pooch!
