La Porte City Limits

La Porte is a small place that has a few substantial activities for you and your pup. Little Cedar Bayou Dog Park is located at 600 Little Cedar Bayou Drive. This spacious, fully fenced dog park allows dogs to play and socialize off leash in a grassy field. There is a separate area for small dogs. The dog park has water on-site ,a doggie play pool, doggie waste bags, and places for human companions to sit and supervise their pups. Its hours are 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. Dogs visiting La Porte will want to check in at Bayshore Motel located at 717 Hwy. 146 N. This motel welcomes dogs of any size to stay for no additional fee.

Pearland

Pearland is 26 miles west of La Porte. Pearland is home to Independence Dog Park, located at 3919 Liberty Drive. This fully fenced grassy dog park allows canines to have off-leash socialization. It has a separate enclosure for small dogs. Independence Dog Park has water on-site including a hose for rinsing off a hard day at play at the park. This dog park includes an agility course for training and extra exercise.There are benches for the pups’ people, a shelter for picnics, and doggie waste bags for easy cleanups. Texas City is 25 miles south of La Porte. Amoco Park is located at 1500 29th Street N. This dog park covers almost 5.5 acres. It is a fully fenced large grassy enclosure for off-leash exercise and socialization. It has a separate area set aside for small dogs. There are numerous pieces of colorful agility equipment for training or just extra fun. Amoco Park has water fountains designed for dogs and people. A bench is well-positioned under a shade tree so a person can supervise their pups at play. It is open from dawn to dusk.
