The Nassau Bay Dog Park in southeastern Houston is less than 10 miles from Dickinson. This dog park is part of Lake Nassau Park, a popular fishing spot that also has sports fields, playgrounds, and pavilions in addition to the off-leash dog park. The Nassau Bay Dog Park isn't an incredibly large dog park, but there's still plenty of room for your pooch to have fun in either the big or small dog section of the park. This dog park also has auto-filling dog water bowls, benches, some agility equipment, and plenty of shade. Be sure your dog is wearing their tags before you visit the park.

The southeastern Houston neighborhood known as the Bay Area is also where you'll find Bay Area Park, a 64-acre park that overlooks the Armand Bayou. There's a duck pond, playground, sports fields, picnic facilities, and a dog park in Bay Area Park. The Bay Area Dog Park includes two large, separate sections: one for small dogs and another for big dogs. In addition to covered seating areas for pet parents, this dog park also has dog wash bays to wash messy dogs down after they play, as well as water and washrooms, doggie bags and receptacles, and a few bridges throughout the park.

Central Texas City

Central Texas City is only a 15-minute drive from Dickinson, and it's also where you'll find Amoco Park, which is one of 40 parks maintained by Texas City. Amoco Park is a nearly six-acre park that includes basketball courts, a playground, picnic facilities, and a pawesome dog park! The off-leash dog park includes a section for dogs bigger than 25 pounds as well as a section for smaller pups. The dog park has colorful agility equipment including ramps and tunnels, so your dog can show off their special skills to their friends. There are also water fountains for dogs and humans, along with covered seating areas for pet parents.

Western League City, Texas is less than 10 miles from Dickinson, so you and your doggo can get there very quickly and start having fun at the League City Dog Park! This dog park is open from 7:30 AM to dusk every day except Mondays when it's closed for maintenance. Also referred to as the Bark Park at Countryside, this off-leash park has big and small dog sections, as well as a variety of colorful play equipment including ramps, tunnels, and fire hydrants. There are also water fountains for human and canine use in the park, and you'll find a plethora of shade and seating area, as well.

Pearland is another Texas city that's part of the Houston area, and it's about 20 miles from Dickinson. In eastern Pearland, there's a place called the Independence Dog Park. This fenced, off-leash dog park has an area for big dogs and another for little ones. The large dog side has some agility equipment, and both sections have seating and waste disposal items. Don't forget to bring your own water when you visit the park, because there isn't a running water source. Just outside of the dog park boundaries, there are a few trails you can trek with your dog if they're on a leash.
