“It's a ruff life. Ask for a belly rub!”
Hello, I absolutely love the companionship of dog! I was raised with them and have lived with them my entire life. I love the concepts of good behavior training over traditional and understand the importance of taking about 45mins of the day to sniff around! From large to petite 4-legged friends are great to work with. Lets get to walkin'!

Hi, I'm Melissa! I grew up right here in the Clear Lake area, pet-sitting for my neighbors and taking care of my own chow-chow/shepherd mix. I have an enduring love of all animals, which led me to a college degree in biology and volunteering at the Houston Zoo. I have experience working as a kennel tech at an animal hospital, so I have walked and cared for every kind of dog from chihuahuas to great danes, and I love figuring out what each individual dog enjoys. I'm also a marathon runner, so no matter how much exercise your pup needs, I can make it happen! My goals is to make both you and your pooch as happy as possible with your Wag! experience, and will treat your pup with all the love and care I give my own beagle/spaniel mix, Holly.

Hello, I am Turner. I grew up in the Houston area always have had a lot of love for dogs and other animals like cats as well. I owned a black lab for sixteen years but unfortunately, he passed away back in March of 2017 due to old age and a form of oral cancer. I grew up taking care of him such as feeding and giving him water, walking, playing, and giving him oral medications when needed. I mostly have experience working with bigger dogs but the little ones are always a joy as well. I have dog-sat some of my friend's dogs and cats as well in the past when they would go out of town. I have always loved dogs very much and can't wait to spend more time with them when working for Wag. Your dog will be in good hands whenever I walk or sit them, and I will be sure to give them the attention that they deserve.

Hi! I’m currently a student at UHCL getting my masters degree. I am very comfortable around animals. I grew up with dogs my whole life, and my best friend was my Rhodesian Ridgeback, Joli. I currently have a Shiba Inu mix, Lillie, who doesn’t like walks! I’ll be available in the Houston and South Houston region, down to Dickinson.

I am an animal lover and I especially love dogs. My friends and neighbors have reached out to me several times over the years to watch their pets while they were away as they know I would take care of them like they were my own. I also have experience with seniors, blind & deaf dogs. My dog is considered as part of the family.

Hitchcock is a city in Galveston County, Texas with a population of almost 8,000 people. Originally created to be a train station between Galveston and Houston, Hitchcock today is a wonderful place to live for the whole family, including those four-legged family members we love so much! Hitchcock prides itself on having big city amenities, with all of the charms a relaxed, small community has. There are a handful of veterinary clinics in Hitchcock so you can rest assured your pet will always be taken care of when you're there. Hitchcock doesn't have its own off-leash area, but there are plenty of dog-friendly areas just a short drive away!
One fun activity to do with your dog in the Hitchcock area is to make the 17-mile drive to East Beach in Galveston, Texas. All Galveston beaches welcome dogs, but they must be on a leash. East Beach is known for hosting festivals and concerts, and the boardwalk is a great place to walk with your dog and interact with locals. There are also playgrounds, pavilions, a bird sanctuary, and plenty of other things to do at East Beach. You and your pooch are going to love exploring the beautiful surroundings and ideal climate at one of many dog-friendly activities near Hitchcock!
Kempner Park in Galveston, Texas is only a 20-minute drive from Hitchcock, and while it isn't an off-leash dog park, it is a very dog-friendly park. This park is really popular with dog owners, and it even includes a water fountain just for dogs. Kempner Park is located near the eastern coast of Galveston, and it is also home to Garten Verein, which is a 19th-century building that is available for touring but is often rented for private parties. Exploring Kempner Park and taking in historical sights like Garten Verein are on the must-do list if you visit Galveston with your pup!
Tom Bass Regional Park and Dog Park is 30 miles from Hitchcock, near Clear Creek in southern Houston. Tom Bass Regional Park is a great place to spend a day with your family, and it includes a disc golf course, playgrounds, sports fields, picnic facilities, and several trails where your dog can accompany you on a leash. A little more than half an hour northwest of Hitchcock, in western Pearland, Texas, is the Southdown Dog Park. This dog park features separate areas for big and small dogs, as well as some agility equipment. Southdown Park is also home to plenty of family-friendly activities, like playgrounds and sports fields. The dog park also has drinking water for dogs, seating, and waste clean-up materials. Some visitors note that there isn't much shade on hot days, so be sure to bring your sunglasses and wear sunscreen, or wait until later in the day so your dog doesn't overheat.
The Ella and Friends Dog Park is half an hour north of Hitchcock, in western Deer Park, Texas. This 1.46-acre, fenced-in, off-leash park has separate small and large dog sections, as well as many other convenient amenities. There are two dog wash stations, sandboxes, fire hydrants, water fountains, seating, and shelters from the sun. If you plan on visiting the park at night, you'll be glad to know the park is lighted at nighttime. This clean, well-maintained park is known for being a peaceful place for pups to play, and includes some agility equipment.
Half an hour southwest of Hitchcock, in central Angleton, Texas, you'll find the Officer Cash Memorial Dog Park. This pawesome dog park was named after Angleton's first K-9 officer, Cash, and it is a paradise for all pups. There are big and small dog sections at Cash Memorial Dog Park, and each section has agility equipment created from recycled playground parts and city service parts. If agility isn't your dog's idea of fun, there is also a large area perfect for chasing a Frisbee or a ball.
