The beautiful town of Angleton is located just 45 minutes south of Houston near the Gulf of Mexico, creating a wonderful atmosphere for families and their canine companions. Spending time at one of the nine parks in town is a popular pastime for pup parents. Masterson Park on S. Arcola Street features a playground, sand volleyball and plenty of space to walk your pooch. Families gather with friends and their dogs for picnics, or walk around the paths under the large shady oak trees. The central location is perfect when your pup needs to get out and stretch his legs.

Making sure Fido is healthy is also important to families in Angleton. There are two qualified veterinarian clinics providing routine and emergency services to pups and their parents. When you need supplies for your pooch, take him to Pets and Plants, a locally owned store where you can find food and treats in addition to a new collar or leash for Fido.

Warm weekend afternoons are a perfect time to stroll down to the Henry William Munson Park and the Stephen F. Austin Statue and Visitor’s Center. This historic park features 10-acres of land with various statues to admire, picnic areas to enjoy a snack, and a pond in the shape of the state of Texas! You and your pup can spend hours walking through the area getting some exercise and fresh air.

You and your pup will love living in Angleton, where dogs can socialize with other pups while walking through the neighborhoods or at the wonderful parks.
