Fairfax Station
If Fido needs to get a good walk in, check out the Middleridge Park in the nearby town of Fairfax. This park is filled with tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, and a small natural hiking trail. The park is surrounded by trees and tucked away in a neighborhood, so it will give Fido a little quiet time away from the city. The trail will take you throughout and around the park, plus all the trees help provide shade for you and Fido. After a nice walk stop into Chesapeake Bagel Bakery or a bite to eat. This authentic, made-from-scratch bagel shop offers breakfast throughout the day and lunch options. Their outdoor patio welcomes Fido to join you while you sip some coffee and enjoy a tasty bagel.36

Burke Road
The Burke Station Park is a great area to let Fido enjoy if he is itching to get outside and hike some trails. The 18-acre park offers a walking/hiking trail that gives you a little wooded area for Fido to sniff around with you. Besides the pawsome trail, the park offers tennis courts, a playground, and basketball courts. Since there are so many trees in the park, you don't have to worry about getting too hot since they provide plenty of shade. Make sure to keep Fido on a leash while you visit the park since there is usually wildlife running around.24

Cherry Run
The Rolling Valley West Park offers a great sports field for Fido to run along if he or she is needing to get some energy out. Besides a great field, the park offers basketball and tennis courts, and a playground. If Fido wants to take a nice walk, then this is a great park to visit since it has a walking trail that goes around the park, as well as restrooms. The Burke Lake Park welcomes your leashed pup to join you on its hiking and walking trails. With 888-acres filled with picnicking, boating, fishing, and camping, your pup is going to have a great time visiting this park. While at the park, you need to keep Fido out of the lake, but with the other amenities, like the 4.7-mile lake trail, your pup won't mind. Make sure to bring water and cleanup bags with you when you visit.12

If Fido is looking for a more wooded park to explore, take him to the Middle Run Park. This park offers a creek that flows through it, plus a great nature trail to hike around and explore with your furry pal. If Fido would rather visit a different park, check out the Orange Hunt Estates Park. This 8.11-acre park offers a playground, hiking trail, basketball courts, and a picnic area for the two of you to enjoy.
