This park welcomes dogs on leash, and it includes 350 acres of nature trails, many of which go along the scenic Occoquan River. Your dog will love getting to smell the scents and see the sights in this park. After you’re finishing playing in the park, head over to nearby Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt for a sweet treat. This customizable frozen yogurt shop has two outdoor tables where you can sit with your pup. Bring your dog their own tasty treat, and enjoy your delicious snacks together.

This Occoquan neighborhood is only three miles from Lorton, and it has some pawsitively amazing things to do with your dog! If your dog is looking for a walk, take them over to River Mill Park. This park has a paved walking trail that winds along the Occoquan River. After you’re finished with your walk, bring your pup over to Fetch Pet Bakery. This local shop offers tasty and healthy treats, including cheese, bacon, and chicken cakes made with grain-free flour. The shop also sells American-made dog toys and cute bandanas. Your pup won’t be able to stop wagging their tail when they see all the great treats in this shop!

This neighborhood in Woodbridge is home to a pawesome dog park, K-9 Gunner Memorial Park. This park is only about six miles from Lorton, and it has 46,000 square feet of grass and dirt areas. There are separate areas for large and small dogs, and there are plenty of benches for owners. There’s also water available for dogs. Bring your dog’s favorite toy or a couple tennis balls and spend a fun afternoon with your pup in this great dog park! If you’re hungry after your day at the park, grab a meal or a snack at nearby Noodles & Company. This restaurant has nine dog-friendly tables, and they serve delicious pasta dishes from around the world.

For a fun day out with your furry best friend, head to Taylor Run in Alexandria. This neighborhood is about 12 miles from Lorton, and it’s home to the Dog Run Park at Carlyle. Here, your pup can play in the park’s separate small and large dog areas. If all that playing makes your dog thirsty, there are doggy water fountains available. After you’re finished playing, grab lunch at one of the many dog-friendly restaurants near the dog park. If you’re in the mood for a burger, head to Ted’s Montana Grill, where you can enjoy a gourmet bison or beef burgers at one of their nine dog-friendly outdoor tables. Or, if you’re craving souvlaki or pizza, head to Delia’s Mediterranean Grill & Brick Oven Pizza and grab one of their ten dog-friendly outdoor tables.
