Potomac Heights is a small Maryland town right on the Maryland/Virginia Border. This town is popular with commuters who are looking to live somewhere with a slower pace than some of the neighboring towns. Potomac Heights is proudly home to Chapman State Park. This large state park is the pawfect place for hiking and walking with a four-legged companion on a nice day. The park has plenty of paths to explore, along with access to the water and some pupperific fishing spots that are definitely worth barking for! You will probably want to keep a harness on your dog in this state park, as the terrain can be a bit challenging. You will also want to make sure you have plenty of water with you, especially if you are exploring the park during the humid summer months.

There is one animal hospital in nearby Indian Head. This animal hospital services several of the neighboring towns, so be sure to call ahead to secure your appointment. You will find the service is well worth any waiting, as they will treat your pup like family and help make routine visits go smoothly.

Looking for more dog-friendly fun? Potomac Heights is just a short distance away from every dog-friendly amenity imaginable!
