Dog Walking in Chehalis

Known as one of the twin cities, Chehalis is located in Lewis County, Washington beside the Chehalis River. While there are plenty of historical museums in town, there are also some puptastic outdoor pursuits that will keep furry friends amused. To make sure your pup stays in good health and their tail keeps wagging, there are four veterinary clinics and animal hospitals in Chehalis.

Every dog loves a trip to the park and there are some pawsome ones in Chehalis! This includes Recreation Park, with lots of open grass for your pup to run and roam. The park also includes Penny Playground for the kids, as well as covered picnic areas so you can enjoy a day out with some treats, and a spray park. The Lintott Alexander Park is also a puptastic place to visit, and boasts a beautiful spot on the bend of Chehalis River. Here you can go on an adventure through the forest, and discover the John Dobson Park and McFadden Park along the way. Your furry friend is sure to love these sniff-tastic parks, with nature at every turn. When you get hungry, head to Jeremy’s Farm to Table for some delicious food. This place serves up some pawsome American food, with a focus on organic ingredients. Of course, the best part is that there are six dog friendly tables outside where your pooch can join you!

For a family day in the sun, be sure to head to Stan Hedwall Park in Chehalis! This is the biggest park in town and will be paradise for your pup. There are forested and open meadows here to explore, as well as a three mile sniff-tastic trail for some exercise. the Newaukum River flows here, so there is some oppawtunity for fishing. In addition, there are horsehoe pits for some fun and a playground for the kids. If you need a place to stay, there is an RV area here, or you can check into the Relax Inn with your pooch. You can bring a pup of any size for only a small additional fee per night.

If you travel only 4.7 miles north of Chehalis, you will find Centralia, where you can enjoy a pawsome day with your furry friend and enjoy some coffee at Fiddlers Coffee.
