Hi! My name is Dakota, I have lived in Seattle, Washington my whole life and have owned dogs since I was little, and have just recently moved to Bellingham. I currently own 4 dogs, 2 labrador retrievers, a small mixed breed and a large mixed breed dog! I have loved and been around dogs for as long as I can remember. “Intuitive & patient - great for skittish pups!”
I do particularly well with nervous or anxious dogs, since I seem to know how much space and structure they need to feel safe and loved. I've done sitting and walking for pet parents who swear, "My dog doesn't like anyone!" just to discover that their pups really like me. I'm very patient and great at reading canine body language, so I inevitably win the trust of the dogs I encounter.

“Energetic, easy going dog walker”
I strongly believe walks are the best way to build a friendly, trusting bond with a dog. I have an anxious minpin back home who I would walk twice daily to help ease his anxiety and get his daily exercise in. Our walks ended up being both of our favorite time of day! I'd love to share that special time with some new canine friends around Bellingham! I used to volunteer at a doggy daycare, and have experience with dogs of all sizes. I promise to keep your pup happy and active while I'm with them!

“I love them all; big, small, old, and energized!”
Hi, I'm Auri and I recently moved to the Bellingham area after living all over Washington state and Alaska. I grew up with a black lab always in the house, and miss our current lab, Zeppelin, dearly while away from my hometown, Juneau, Alaska. Fortunately, I currently live in a house with an Australian Shepherd so I still have a furry companion around when I need one. I have loved my time working for Wag! and walking all types of dogs.

“Keeping pets safe, healthy, and happy for 19 years”
Hello! My name is Jaclyn, and I grew up and worked for a dog kennel for my entire childhood (my family owned one). On the kennel, I helped to board, train, breed, and raise up to 30+ dogs at a time. Because of this I am skilled in handling almost all dog breeds, ages, and sizes. I am also currently progressing my education in veterinary medicine at a Washington institution.

I am a college student who loves dogs. I have had a shepard blue heeler since I was 11 year old and have been walking him all my life. I have also done dog walking and pet sitting for neighbors my whole life. I really enjoy outdoor activities and love to be active as often as possible.
Deming is a small place in Washington with a population of 353 that lies close to the Canadian border. What is interesting about Deming is that it is a home to the Nooksack Tribe, which is a tribal government that is federally recognized. The tribe is located within the 2,500-acre Nooksack Indian Reservation.
Since this place is mostly nature and mountains, you can find a lot of cabins in the woods to stay at, which make Deming the pawfect place for a vacation. Most of the places are dog-friendly, too! These include Snowater Resort Condo, Baker Cabin - In Glacier, Pinecone Log Cabin, Luxury Mountain Chalet, and more. All of these cabins have different rules and pet fees so if you're thinking of visiting, be sure to check out the pet policy.
Since Deming is a mountainous town, there are a lot of difficult hikes and trails here. If you are physically fit and consider yourself an adventurer, you should check out the Heliotrope Ridge Trailhead. The hike is long, around 6 miles, and it takes up to 3.5 hours to finish it. Dog are welcome, but you have to be really careful since there are slippery narrow places. Water, snacks, and waste bags are a must!
Lake Padden Dog Park is around 20 miles away from Deming and can be found in Samish Hill. The Lake Padden Park is a public park that includes a fenced area especially for dogs! There are also unfenced areas where dogs are allowed to be off-leash. There's even one area with access to the lake so the pups can swim. The trails in this park are a great place to burn some energy and enjoy a quiet nature excursion. Drinking water is available, and the park even provides doggie pools in the summer for cooling off in the heat.
Another park that you can visit in the vicinity of Deming is Arroyo Park. The park is located in South Bellingham, around 19 miles away from Deming, and includes a lot of trails where you can hike with your pooch. Dogs must be leashed on the trails. In the areas where dogs are allowed off-leash, your dog has to follow voice commands because this area is not fenced. The park has a lot of trees so it's almost completely shaded. Make sure you're prepared for visiting the park -- bring water for you and your pup and waste bags so you can keep the park clean.
Around 18 miles away from Deming is another pawesome dog park that you should check out. Bender Fields Dog Park is located in East Lynden. This fully fenced, off-leash park is about an acre in size. The park is pretty small, but can come in handy if you're in the area. Outside of the fenced area, you'll find lots of sports fields, from baseball and softball to lacrosse, which makes this the perfect place for an outing with the family. The park has a shelter and tends to get muddy when it rains, so keep that in mind. Bring water and waste bags.
Little Squalicum Park is around 18 miles west of Deming and is located in Marietta-Alderwood. Dogs are allowed off-leash in most areas of this park. Be sure to pay attention to the leash rules. There is a creek in the park, but it is not advisable to let your pup swim due to heavy pollution. The beach is dog-friendly as well, but dogs have to be on-leash there. There is also a nice trail that you can explore that winds alongside the ocean -- the perfect place for a scenic walk! Make sure you bring some water for your pooch and some waste baggies to clean up after your pal.
A little bit further from Deming is a pawesome dog park called Brookswood Dog Park. This park is located in South Langley Township, around 64 miles away from Deming and outside of the Washington border. This fairly spacious park is fenced and offers lots of space for your pup to run around and exercise. There are separate areas for small and large dogs there so you don't have to worry! Poop bags are provided as well, and there is a water hose near the bathrooms for humans where you can fill up a bowl for your thirsty pup. Water bowls are also provided! If you're just looking for a quick walk, hit the gravel walking trail that winds around the perimeter of the park.
