Your pup will be bow-wowing for Bow! This town’s namesake neighborhood is only about 3 miles from Edison and it is home to one of the area’s most woofderful trails – the Oyster Dome Trail! Leash your dog and pack a picnic for this five-mile there-and-back trail that treks through beautiful forest and wetland habitats. You and your furry friend will be rewarded after the moderate uphill climbs with incredible views of the San Juan Islands and the Samish Bay. Keep a look out for boats, hang gliders and even whales! Pods of orca whales live in the stunning San Juan Islands year round, so keep your eyes peeled and enjoy this furrific adventure with your pooch!36

Bay View
Looking for a pawsome place to walk with your pooch? Head to the Bay View neighborhood in Burlington! About nine miles from Edison, this neighborhood has a furrific trailhead for the State Route 20 Arboreta Trail. You and your leashed pup will love strolling on this paved and crushed stone path that is lined with beautiful trees. The 1.5-mile trail begins at Regent Street and ends at Peter-Anderson Road. After your jaunt, check out the neighborhood’s fur-iendly park, Lions Park. It’s a woofderful spot for a picnic with covered tables and barbecue grills, plus lots of open grassy areas where leashed dogs are welcome.24

Route 9/ Cove Rd
Fido craving some off-leash fun? Visit the Route 9/ Cove Rd neighborhood in Sedro-Woolley, about 12 miles from Edison. The neighborhood’s Riverfront Park has a special off-leash area, the Bark Park, which is a fully fenced-in park where your pup will have a blast running, playing and socializing. There’s tons of grass, a play tunnel, drinking water, and benches where humans can relax while their four-legged friends play. After your pooch has burned off some energy, explore the rest of Riverfront Park with your leashed dog. The Bakerview Park neighborhood in Mount Vernon, about 13 miles from Edison is an understandably pawpular canine hangout! The neighborhood’s namesake park has 39 acres of beautiful open space that includes walking paths, big grassy lawns, picnic tables, a playground and restrooms. The park also has a pawsome off-leash area, the Bakerview Dog Park! This fully fenced-in park has tons of grass and tons of room for a game a fetch. There’s also a play tunnel, a doggie waste cleanup station and a seasonal water spigot for drinking water. Bakerview Dog Park has a separate area for small dogs, too.
