Eighteen miles from Lummi Island is Chuckanut Brewing Company. This a great place to hang out with friends and enjoy classic pub food like pizza and burgers. You’ll love all the brews that are available to sip on while catching up with friends. The outdoor patios are set up so that you can enjoy dinner with your dogs while watching the people pass by. It’s a great place to enjoy great food in an even better atmosphere. Don’t forget to bring Fido’s leash as well as his water bowl.

Larson Mill
Bloedel Donovan Beach is a wide-open area that allows you to run and splash with your dog in the water. Keep in mind that Fido isn’t allowed in certain areas of the park, but most of it is fur-friendly. Be aware that there are lots of geese in the area, which your dog will probably want to chase or bark at, so keep him on a leash so he doesn’t harass the wildlife. There are also no fences, so make sure that your dog understands and obeys voice commands before you take his leash off in the designated area. Overall, this is a great place to spend the day with all your family.

Fairhaven
If you’re looking for a place where Fido can run, romp and play without a leash, then you need to come on over to Post Point Dog Park. This is an off-leash dog park that features a partially fenced swimming area. This area is surrounded by barriers which ensures safe play. You’re encouraged to play with your dog while he’s in the water, although it isn’t required. Just be sure you can keep an eye on him at all times. The swimming area is, understandably, pawpular with other dogs, so Fido is bound to make a new fur-iend here! Don’t forget to pack a couple of towels.

The fenced-in area is big enough for Fido to run and play with his new fur buddies. Tall trees that provide some shade during the summer months. There are two separate areas based on dog size. Nervous or shy dogs are encouraged to play in the small dog area. Water and poop bags are provided as well. This park has everything you need to have the pawfect day out with your dog.
