Northeast Nine Mile Falls
For a peaceful afternoon away from the crowds, leash up and head over to Eagle Bluff Park, which sits south of the junction of North Villier Road and Sundance Lane. Since a parking area and road have not yet been developed, visitors can only access this 50-acre site by foot and via a temporary road. But once you and Fido make it to Eagle Bluff Park, you'll be greeted by some of the best public views of Lake Spokane. The park is mostly composed of undeveloped forest land, with a picnic table and two benches that have been placed by volunteers.

While the upper portion of the park is equipped with a parking area, picnic shelter, and other amenities, the majority of the site has been left in its natural state. If you and your pooch are up for a longer walk, you can hit the Spokane River Centennial Trail, which is accessible from Sontag. This mixed-use trail spans 40 miles from the Nine Mile Recreation Area to the Idaho border, traveling through basalt canyons, ponderosa pine forests, cultural heritage sites, and urban centers.

The McLellan Conservation Area is home to black bears, deer, moose, ospreys, and various bird species; so as not to disturb the wildlife, dogs are required to be leashed at all times.
