Hi, I’m Kim. I’m very excited to be part of the Wag team! Dogs have always played an important part of my life. Even during times when I didn’t personally own one, there was always a special dog or 2 that a friend would share with me. My experiences have been varied with dogs of all ages and sizes. Just like people, dogs have their own special personalities. I believe this makes for great fun to spend time with and get to know their unique behavior. Taking walks in Seattle neighborhoods is one of my most favorite things to do – especially when accompanied with a dog! I promise to take loving care of your dog so you will have a happy and healthy dog when you are home!

“Conscientious and thoughtful pet care :)”

I have been around animals my whole life. As a child I studied dog behavior and training which helped give me knowledge on the proper ways to handle and interact with them. I have an excellent understanding of how dogs work and I feel I and know well how to care for them in a variety of situations. I have cared for many dogs both of my own and of others'.

I have been a dog lover all my life and am always excited to make a new dog friend. I grew up learning how to properly walk and clean up after my family's German Shepherd/Golden Retriever dog Sam and have volunteered at the Benton Franklin Humane Society where I handled and socialized a variety of different kinds of dogs. I look forward to getting to know your dog and bringing joy to their day.

Hi! My name is Adriel. I currently live in Seattle's Montlake neighborhood, but walk dogs throughout the city. I grew up and am very comfortable with large dogs, but I love canines of all sizes! Times are pretty scary these days, and so I want to reassure folks that while I’m taking care of your four legged friend or friends, I’m also cognizant of the situation at hand and am taking steps to protect your health and mine. Stay safe out there, and in the meantime I can’t wait to meet your pups. :)

Dog Walking in Port Orchard

Conveniently located between Seattle-Tacoma and the Olympic National Park, Port Orchard is a thriving waterfront community and popular destination for both business and leisure travelers. With plenty of green spaces, a nationally recognized water trail, and various free events during the spring and summer, there's something for everyone, including man's best friend. Port Orchard houses five animal hospitals to keep your furry pal in top shape while you're in town.

Most recreation areas in Port Orchard welcome canine companions, including the Port Orchard Marina Park. It features covered seating, a performance area, a playground, and a large lawn for Fido to sniff around. This family-friendly site also serves as the venue for several community events.

From the Port Orchard Marina Park, you and Fido can access the Bay Street Pedestrian Pathway, a pup-friendly, paved walking and biking trail that follows the waterfront. It passes by multiple points of interest while offering views of the Olympic Mountains and Naval Shipyard.

For nature lovers, there's the Banner Forest Heritage Park. A popular spot among cyclists and equestrian users, this 636-acre park features several designated and bunny trails that are great for a quiet hike through the woods with your pooch. Bring water and GPS!

Come see for yourself what Port Orchard has to offer!

Grab Fido's leash and head down to the Howe Farm County Dog Park for a pawsitively good time! Located on the site of a historic farm, this dog park spans 3-4 acres, giving pooches plenty of room to run and play off-leash. The fenced area also contains trails that thread through a wooded area with small streams, which is pawfect for curious and energetic puppers. The Howe Farm County Dog Park is huge, so be sure to keep an eye on Fido! Pet waste bags are provided but there is no running water. While residents bring water and bowls for everyone during the summer, it's still a good idea to bring your own.

The city center is home to three pet-friendly green spaces, including Clayton, Givens, and Vanzee Parks. Vanzee Park, which is the largest, offers trails for you and Fido to explore, picnic areas to hang out in, and a disc golf course where you can practice your throwing skills. Mutt Mitts are provided at all three parks, so don't worry if you forgot to bring your own. Looking for a place to eat with your pup? Head to the northern part of the neighborhood, where you'll find Home Made Cafe, Central Dock, and The Crow's Nest. All eateries welcome four-legged patrons at their outdoor tables.

The South Kitsap Regional Park is a furrific place to spend a beautiful day with the family, canine members included. This 209-acre site houses multiple athletic fields, a playground, horseshoe pits, a picnic area, a skate park, and walking and hiking trails. The extensive trails will take you and your pup around the woods, with some passing by the scale outdoor railroad maintained by the non-profit Kitsap Live Steamers. Free train rides are offered on certain days, so you and Fido might see a mini train pass by while you're strolling around. As always, keep your doggo on a leash and clean up after him!

If your canine companion loves water, he will have a puptastic time at Horsehoe Lake Park. As the name suggests, the park is located along Horseshoe Lake, a small, shallow lake with crystal clear waters, shaped like a horse's shoe. Take Fido for a leashed lakeside stroll, and maybe let him get his paws wet, too. Don't forget to pack some lunch and Fido's favorite treats for a relaxing picnic with a view. The 39-acre park also features walking trails that go through wooded areas, so dogs that would rather stay on dry land have something to enjoy as well.

Situated on a narrow strip of land along Blackjack Creek, the Etta Turner Park provides a peaceful spot for rest stops, picnics, book readings, and quiet reflection. One of the newer developments in the city, this cozy, landscaped site features benches, picnic tables, a gazebo, and views of Port Orchard. After checking out the Etta Turner Park with your pup, stop by the adjacent Slaughter County Brewing Company for some craft beer and pizza. This very dog-friendly establishment lets pooches inside, though no one will blame you if you would prefer to stay outside and admire Puget Sound from the patio.
