Christina was my first walker/caretaker and I could not sing her praises higher. Super great and communicative. Send me lots of pictures. Let me know exactly what transpired. Just from the pictures alone I already know that my dog loves her. I will definitely be using her exclusively if I can.

Grab Fido's leash and head down to the Howe Farm County Dog Park for a pawsitively good time! Located on the site of a historic farm, this dog park spans 3-4 acres, giving pooches plenty of room to run and play off-leash. The fenced area also contains trails that thread through a wooded area with small streams, which is pawfect for curious and energetic puppers. The Howe Farm County Dog Park is huge, so be sure to keep an eye on Fido! Pet waste bags are provided but there is no running water. While residents bring water and bowls for everyone during the summer, it's still a good idea to bring your own.

City Center

City Center

The city center is home to three pet-friendly green spaces, including Clayton, Givens, and Vanzee Parks. Vanzee Park, which is the largest, offers trails for you and Fido to explore, picnic areas to hang out in, and a disc golf course where you can practice your throwing skills. Mutt Mitts are provided at all three parks, so don't worry if you forgot to bring your own. Looking for a place to eat with your pup? Head to the northern part of the neighborhood, where you'll find Home Made Cafe, Central Dock, and The Crow's Nest. All eateries welcome four-legged patrons at their outdoor tables.

East Port Orchard

East Port Orchard

The South Kitsap Regional Park is a furrific place to spend a beautiful day with the family, canine members included. This 209-acre site houses multiple athletic fields, a playground, horseshoe pits, a picnic area, a skate park, and walking and hiking trails. The extensive trails will take you and your pup around the woods, with some passing by the scale outdoor railroad maintained by the non-profit Kitsap Live Steamers. Free train rides are offered on certain days, so you and Fido might see a mini train pass by while you're strolling around. As always, keep your doggo on a leash and clean up after him!

If your canine companion loves water, he will have a puptastic time at Horsehoe Lake Park. As the name suggests, the park is located along Horseshoe Lake, a small, shallow lake with crystal clear waters, shaped like a horse's shoe. Take Fido for a leashed lakeside stroll, and maybe let him get his paws wet, too. Don't forget to pack some lunch and Fido's favorite treats for a relaxing picnic with a view. The 39-acre park also features walking trails that go through wooded areas, so dogs that would rather stay on dry land have something to enjoy as well.

Annapolis

Annapolis

Situated on a narrow strip of land along Blackjack Creek, the Etta Turner Park provides a peaceful spot for rest stops, picnics, book readings, and quiet reflection. One of the newer developments in the city, this cozy, landscaped site features benches, picnic tables, a gazebo, and views of Port Orchard. After checking out the Etta Turner Park with your pup, stop by the adjacent Slaughter County Brewing Company for some craft beer and pizza. This very dog-friendly establishment lets pooches inside, though no one will blame you if you would prefer to stay outside and admire Puget Sound from the patio.
