Downtown De Pere
Right in downtown De Pere, you and Fido can get out and explore the area at Voyageur Park. Walk along the Fox River with your pup, or take a jog on the trails that wind through the facility. Connect to the Fox River Trail at this site and walk or jog along the water. This 25-mile paved and crushed limestone trail stretches from Green Bay to Hilbert. This is a popular mixed-use trail, so expect to see other pedestrians, dogs, and cyclists. Dogs are permitted in the park and on the trail, provided you keep them on a leash no longer than eight feet and you pick up any messes36

Southwest De Pere
Nestled between Lost Dauphin Road and Highway 41, the neighborhood of Southwest De Pere is a fantastic place to come with your pooch. Here, you can let Fido romp and play freely with other pups at the De Pere Dog Park. This 9-acre fenced facility has a combination of wooded areas and open fields to explore. There are tables and benches where you can sit while your pup enjoys some off-leash canine social time. When you want one-on-one time with your special pal, head over to the Preserve Trail that wanders along Ashwaubenon Creek near the highway. Dogs on a leash up to eight feet long can join their owners on this trail.24

East De Pere
When you want to go for a walk or run with your pooch, head over to Wiese Park, on the eastern border of East De Pere. This open space has a trail network that meanders around soccer fields and along the East River. You and your four-footed pal will enjoy the fresh air and beautiful scenery in this delightful neighborhood facility. Dogs are allowed to join you in this park as long as they're on a leash up to eight feet long. Since this isn't a dog park, you'll need to bring your own supplies, like drinking water and doggie waste bags.12

Ledgeview
In the neighborhood of Ledgeview, just south of De Pere, you and Fido have some wonderful opportunities to get out and explore. Head to Ledgeview Park and check out the open fields and wetland areas along the river. In this 48-acre facility, you'll be able to connect with the East River Trail for a jog or hike by the water. The 6-mile paved pathway continues along the East River through De Pere, Allouez, and Green Bay. Dogs are permitted to accompany you on the trail, provided they're on a leash no longer than five feet and that you pick up any waste.
