Hey there! I'm Kim. I have 15 years of doggy experience under my belt. Starting with volunteer work at the local animal shelter in my early school years, I later began pet sitting and facilitated many doggy sleepovers! Later on, I was a dog walker in Austin, TX before moving to Vermont, where I recently spent two years as a dog bather and groomer's assistant. The well-being of all animals is something I care about deeply, and I can't wait to meet your furry companions!

Dog Walking in Kohler

Originally named Riverside, Kohler is a small village that was renamed after the Kohler Company built a new plant here in 1900. If you are visiting Riverside with your pup and you need veterinary assistance, it's good to know that the closest veterinary hospitals and clinics to Kohler are the ones in Sheboygan, which is around 5 miles away from the village.

If you're looking for a place to spend a couple of nights curled up next to your pup in the village, you won't find many options here. The Airbnb rentals are at your disposal, in addition to The Inn on Woodlake, but if those don't suit, you can search for a place in Sheboygan. There are more than 5 hotels and resorts there that will be pawsitively excited to have you as their guests!

The only dog-friendly place that you can visit in the village is the Woodlake Market. There, you and your pup can enjoy a coffee, a meal, or a snack on the outdoor patio.

Looking fur an adventure? Ten miles away from the village, you can take your pup to the Kohler-Andrae State Park, where you can explore the day away with your dog. The best part is that doggos are allowed on the beach as long as they are leashed!

If you're looking for something that's simpler and closer to Kohler, the pawfect place for you is the Old Plank Road Trail. The trail is 17 miles long, and it's paved, so no muddy paws!  The trail is next to a busy highway, so make sure your pup won't be scared of the sounds before exploring the trail. The trail has some hills, but it's mostly kid-friendly and wheelchair-accessible. The multi-use nature of the trail means that it's highly trafficked by bikers, horses, hikers, and plenty of fur-babies.
