I love animals! I have had pet dogs of all sizes, from a 10 lb chihuahua mix to a 100+ lb Labrador retriever. I currently live in Bay View with my dog, Foxy. I was a member of the Animal Cruelty Task Force in Milwaukee and have presented statewide on the topic of preventing animal cruelty. I've also attended national conferences on issues of animal welfare and cruelty. I'm excited to help you and your furry friend!

Hello! My name is Samantha. I grew up in New Berlin WI. As a kid, my job was to walk the dogs. The area I lived in was great for taking walks on the hiking trails. I currently live in downtown Milwaukee. It works perfectly for my Frenchie Stella and I. We love to go play across the street at the dog park and take long walks by Bradford Beach. My joy in life is animals and am currently looking for more furry companions to love.

I have lived with and loved dogs my entire life. I am experienced with both large and small dogs, from gentle retired Leader dogs to rambunctious hunting hounds. I learned how to handle large dogs at a young age. My grandparents have hunting dogs, so I also learned how to work with them some, as well as what to do with more defensive dogs.

Dog Walking in St Francis

Saint Francis is a beautiful little city in Milwaukee County, just south of the city of Milwaukee and on the west side of Lake Michigan. There are several great dog-friendly green spaces in town, and nearby places to eat with your furry friend by your side. And with two animal hospitals in town, this pawrific area has your pup covered!

The St Francis Brewing Co. is a great place to go for a meal with your dog in tow. Pups are welcome at the outside patio while you enjoy some pub grub of chicken wings, filet mignon, shrimp pasta, meatloaf or grilled salmon – all washed down with a specialty brew.

If you are up for a little activity after your meal, take a walk along Nojoshing Trail. This is an interesting paved trail through Saint Francis where you can take your dog on the lead and check out the local sights. Greene Park offers plenty of open space for pup-friendly family fun, such as a game of frisbee or catch. There is a walking path around the sports fields if you feel like a little on-lead stroll.

With the lake at your doorstep, plenty of parks to enjoy and good food nearby, you and your dog will have a great time visiting Saint Francis.

The beach here is kept clean by an amazing group of volunteers, so when visiting with your dog, make sure you pick up any mess. There is a great trail to walk or run with your pup along the lakeshore and through the grassed area. A water fountain is available on site, but bring a drinking bowl for your four-legged companion. If you are looking for a longer trek, keep heading north along the trail past Texas Rock to visit the adjoining parks further up the beach.

A short drive north of Saint Francis to Milwaukee will take you to the Bay View Dog Park, the best place in the area for Fido to really stretch his legs and have a safe run off the lead. The dog park covers about an acre and is fully fenced, making for a perfect place for your dog to let off some steam and maybe even meet some new friends. Also in this area is Café Centraal, where your pooch is permitted to join you outside. On warm days, the staff will even bring your pup a drink of water while you enjoy your cup of coffee and a spot of lunch.
