Book nowI love animals! I have had pet dogs of all sizes, from a 10 lb chihuahua mix to a 100+ lb Labrador retriever. I currently live in Bay View with my dog, Foxy. I was a member of the Animal Cruelty Task Force in Milwaukee and have presented statewide on the topic of preventing animal cruelty. I've also attended national conferences on issues of animal welfare and cruelty. I'm excited to help you and your furry friend!

Book nowHello! My name is Samantha. I grew up in New Berlin WI. As a kid, my job was to walk the dogs. The area I lived in was great for taking walks on the hiking trails. I currently live in downtown Milwaukee. It works perfectly for my Frenchie Stella and I. We love to go play across the street at the dog park and take long walks by Bradford Beach. My joy in life is animals and am currently looking for more furry companions to love.

Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in St Francis
Park Shore
Park Shore
The Bay View Park has spectacular vistas east across Lake Michigan and north to the city of Milwaukee. The beach here is kept clean by an amazing group of volunteers, so when visiting with your dog, make sure you pick up any mess. There is a great trail to walk or run with your pup along the lakeshore and through the grassed area. A water fountain is available on site, but bring a drinking bowl for your four-legged companion. If you are looking for a longer trek, keep heading north along the trail past Texas Rock to visit the adjoining parks further up the beach.
Cudahy - Northeast
Cudahy - Northeast
Just south of Saint Francis in Cudahy is a beautiful park on the banks of Lake Michigan, known as Sheridan Park. The paved Oak Leaf Trail winds through this park and down to the lake, where you can enjoy the lush green grass and enjoy views out over the lake. There is also a playground and picnic areas, making for a perfect family day out. Bring your water, drinking bowl for pup and clean up bags. There is plenty of parking here, and a couple of little lakes to check out. See if you can find the Patrick Cudahy Statue on your travels!
Tippecanoe
Tippecanoe
Tippecanoe Park in this Milwaukee neighborhood has a great paved walking trail around
it where you can take your dog for a stroll on-lead. There is plenty of grass
to play on and trees to sit under for a picnic lunch. Keep your dog on a lead
here as it is a public park, and always clean up after him. At the southern end
of this neighbourhood is the Botanas II, a pet-friendly Mexican
restaurant that welcomes Fido at one of the outside tables out the back. This
place serves an array of delicious meat and vegetarian dishes, and if you like
something with a bit of spice, you are certainly in the right place!
East Layton Ave/ South Pine Ave

To the west of Saint Francis is the Mitchell Airport Park in Milwaukee. This is a great open space to take a walk around and watch the planes take off from the adjacent airport. There is a playground on site to entertain your two-legged kids, and lots of trees to catch some shade on a hot day. There are a couple of picnic tables available, but bring a blanket to sit on if you wish to stop for lunch. You will also need to bring water and a bowl for your dog to drink from. Fido should stay on a lead here.
South Carferry Dr/ W Bay St
South Carferry Dr/ W Bay St
A short drive north of Saint Francis to Milwaukee will take you to the Bay View Dog Park, the best place in the area for Fido to really stretch his legs and have a safe run off the lead. The dog park covers about an acre and is fully fenced, making for a perfect place for your dog to let off some steam and maybe even meet some new friends. Also in this area is Café Centraal, where your pooch is permitted to join you outside. On warm days, the staff will even bring your pup a drink of water while you enjoy your cup of coffee and a spot of lunch.
