I love animals! I have had pet dogs of all sizes, from a 10 lb chihuahua mix to a 100+ lb Labrador retriever. I currently live in Bay View with my dog, Foxy. I was a member of the Animal Cruelty Task Force in Milwaukee and have presented statewide on the topic of preventing animal cruelty. I've also attended national conferences on issues of animal welfare and cruelty. I'm excited to help you and your furry friend!

High Demand
I currently own a 10 yr. old Dalmatian Mix (Bella) and 6 yr. old German Shepherd (Rex), and have had them both since they were puppies. I am experienced with the care it takes to train/raise a dog from the puppy phase to a full-grown companion! Everything that a pet owner can go through, I have gone through myself, so I feel very comfortable handling all types and sizes of dogs, and providing exceptional care when I get the opportunity to take your best friend for a walk/run! I can do walks in your neighborhood, drive them to a nearby dog park or play with them in your own home. What works best for you and your dog is my top priority! I hope to hear from you!

Come and bring your dog to walk along the trails and visit Carlisle Family Dog Park. This is an off-leash dog park that has two separate area for Fido to play in. There is a fee to get in, but all the money goes to maintaining the dog park and the equipment. The park is about 30 minutes away from Wind Point, but it is a peaceful park where the dogs are encouraged to interact with their pups and the other dogs in the enclosure. It is a great place to play fetch or to teach your dog a new trick or two.

It is only 5 miles to get to Johnson Dog Park from Wind Point. This is a massive 43-acre park that has everything you could want to do with your dog. There are multiple parks to play on if Fido wants to get off his leash and run. Or you could pick a trail or two and take a walk through the natural area of the park. You’re bound to see some locals here, so some on down and make some new fur-iends! There is so much to do as you explore the wooded trails and the river paths. You will always find something new here!
Mount Pleasant
Mount Pleasant
Pike River Pathway is only about 5 miles from Wind Point, but it can take you back to a time when the world wasn’t so busy. This trail is part of the Rails-to-Trails conservation effort. This Fido-friendly walking path was repurposed from the original rail line that serviced this area into the 1930s. You will be taken through communities and farmlands as you enjoy the peace of the walk. It is highly likely that you will come upon wildlife such as frogs, birds, and even rabbits. Please keep your dog leashed, as they do get excited seeing these things.
The Docks
The Docks
John’s Dock invites you to come and eat lunch with your dog anytime that you are in the area. They are located right on the Root River and offer gorgeous views of Michigan Lake. Grab an outdoor table and take in the beauty of nature. The classic pub fare features burgers, fish and chips, and even chicken wings. You can get your favorite or reach for something new. You can even enjoy a wide selection of craft and bottled beers if you’re looking to add a little extra fun to your meal. This is a popular hangout among the locals because of the relaxed and easy- going atmosphere.
Milwaukee

It is a bit further to come out this way from Wind Point, but it is still less than half an hour to Oakleaf Trail. The great thing about this trail is that Fido gets to exercise his sense of adventure. Rails-to-Trails has taken this old rail line and repurposed it into a beautiful trail that both you and your dog can enjoy safely. There are many access points around the area, and you can easily use the system to get in and around the city. The best part is that you are walking through the same path that the rail system travelled for decades, so you can enjoy a cool piece of preserved history.
