Here you will find the pawsome North Bend Rail Trail where you can go exploring 72 miles of sniff-tastic land with your pooch. This makes a furrific retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city, as you pass by rural areas and surrounding puptowns. You can cross over bridges, as well as wander through tunnels with your furry friend. Keep an eye out for wildlife along the way, such as deer and grouse.

Plum St/ 19th St

The puptown of Parkersburg is not far from Mineral Wells, and is home to the Parkersburg City Park where you and your pup can explore the open green space. There is a sniff-tastic walking trail to stretch you and your pup’s legs that winds around the pond and through the trees, as well as some furrific amenities. This includes a pond, playgrounds for the kids, baseball field and picnic areas. All canines are welcome at Parkersburg City Park, as long as he or she remains on leash during your visit.

7th St/ 13th St

Just 8.9 miles from Mineral Wells, you will find the pawsome puptown of Parkersburg! This is home to the puptastic Quincy Park where your canine can enjoy some exercise and playtime. There is plenty of grass here, as well as a sniff-tastic walking path that you can follow. There is also some furrific amenities available here that you can enjoy throughout the day with the family. This includes a playground for the kids, a basketball court, shelter and restroom facilities. Just be sure to bring some fresh water and tasty treats for your panting pup after all of that fun!

Wood County

If you travel 8.5 miles from Mineral Wells to Parkersburg, you will reach the pawsome Point Park! Here you can bring your furry friend for some exercise and fun at this beautiful park, with 2.8 acres of land you can explore. It is located on the Ohio River and there are some sniff-tastic walking trails that you can follow for a leisurely stroll. In addition, there are some puptastic amenities here that you can take advantage of, including a gazebo, restroom facilities and an amphitheatre. There is also the oppawtunity to fish here on the Ohio River during the day.

Lauckport

One of the best places you can bring your canine to for some fun has got to be Fort Boreman Park! This pawsome green spot is located in Parkersburg and this is only an 11 mile drive from Mineral Wells. Here you and your pup can stretch your legs as you follow the walking path around the scenic overlook where you can enjoy the views. There are also shelters here where you can relax with your pooch, as well as a playground for the kids to enjoy. In addition, there are some sniff-tastic hiking trails through the woodlands that you and your doggo can explore together.
