Kingsbury Beach Road
The Kingsbury Beach Road neighborhood of Eastham has plenty of spaces to get some fresh air and exercise with your dog. Windmill Park is home to the oldest windmill in Cape Cod, and has large grassy areas to relax and play on. In this park you can take a peaceful walk by the water, with lovely views of the windmill and church. This park also hosts several community events, including concerts, art shows and the annual Windmill Weekend. Many beaches in Cape Cod allow dogs during the off-season, but on a hot summer day, what's a dog to do? Check out the Nauset Light Beach. This beach allows leashed dogs all year round, and is located in the North Eastham neighborhood. The area has an endless sandy beach along the Atlantic ocean, and a picturesque lighthouse situated among rugged cliffs. You may even be able to spot some seals from this beach! So as not to disturb the wildlife, dogs are not allowed in posted locations during shorebird nesting, staging and migrating periods. When you’re in need of a frosty treat on a hot day, head over to Ben & Jerry’s, in the same neighborhood. They offer a massive variety of ice cream flavors and outdoor, dog friendly seating.

East Orleans
Just a short trot across the border brings you into the East Orleans neighborhood of Orleans. This neighborhood is proud home to Nauset Beach, only a 15 minute drive from Eastham. This 10 mile stretch of beach has gorgeous rolling sand dunes that your pup can run and play on. After all that play time, you and your dog can cool off by rinsing and repeating in the Atlantic Ocean. Dogs are welcome to enjoy some off-leash playtime on this beach during the off season, between October 1st and May 1st, but are not allowed during the peak season. Just a 15 minute drive south along the elbow of Cape Cod, brings you to the Town Center neighborhood of Brewster. This area is home to many gorgeous areas where you can get some fresh air with your dog. A hidden gem is Wings Island. Here you can find a boardwalk through the salt marshes to access the island, and many short trails in the surrounding area. A scenic drive north brings you to Provincetown, located at the very tip of Cape Cod. In this town, you can find the Pilgrim Bark Park, just 40 minutes from Eastham.
