Hampton is a city in Henry County, Georgia, and more than 7,500 people call it their home. Once known as Bear Creek due to the creek that ran through the city, and although the city's name has changed, there are several spots and streets in town named after Bear Creek. You can explore Hampton with your dog, and you'll never have a shortage of dog-friendly activities to partake in nearby. There are a few big city parks in Hampton, and each one has several amenities your whole family can enjoy, including a splash pad, playgrounds, sports fields, and picnic facilities.
Hampton even has its own off-leash dog park, and it's located at North Mount Carmel Park. North Mount Carmel Park is a 129-acre park, Henry County's largest, and it includes a fitness circuit, a paved walking trail, playgrounds, sports fields, and of course, the Bark Park! This dog park has an area for dogs who weigh less than 25 pounds, as well as a section for bigger dogs. There are water fountains for dogs, waste disposal supplies, seating, and fire hydrants throughout the park, too! You'll also find doggy wash stations, and there are often kiddie pools set up for dogs to cool off in on hot days.
