If you’re pup prefers nature over urban life, then she’ll feel right at home in Medical Lake.  Situated among several small ponds and lakes, this town is only a bone’s throw away from Spokane. Local pooches get to enjoy an outdoor lifestyle while still being close to big city amenities.

Medical Lake sits right on the shores of a lake with the same name. West Medical Lake, Silver Lake and Clear Lake are also nearby, and provide endless hours of fishing and exploring. But if your four legged pal just wants to hang around town,  you can stroll through one of the city parks. Coney Island Park is centrally located and a puptastic wildlife viewing spot.  Wilcox Park, Peper Park  and Shepard Field all have grassy open space. Check out these parks and let your dog sniff his way around.

If your fur baby is feeling under the weather, make an appointment at Medical Lake Veterinary Clinic. The doctors at this full service clinic are fully equipped to get your pup back on her four paws in no time. Your pal can also come in for a wellness exam, dental work, surgery and much more. Whether you are a full time Medical Lake resident, or just passing through, you can feel at ease knowing your canine buddy will be well taken care of.

Of course no trip to Medical Lake would be complete without a visit to the lake itself. Head over to the City Center and spend some quality time with your furry friend. Dogs must be leashed while visiting the lake. Although they are not allowed on the beach, they can live it up on the surrounding trails. For a lengthier walk, follow the three mile Medical Lake Loop all the way around the lake. If your pup’s tail starts to wag, chances are she’s caught sight of one of the local rabbits, raccoon or squirrels. The Waterfront Park Trail is just under half a mile and also has nice lake views.
