1 Trail

Nathrop, Colorado is a small village nestled in the spectacular mountains of Colorado. As you might expect from this rural area, Nathrop isn’t packed with fun-filled attractions for you and your dog, although you can find great pet care at four surrounding vet clinics only miles away. Nathrop is, however, close to some fun adventures that are pawfect for outdoor-loving dogs and their owners.

The Mount Antero Trail actually has an entrance in Nathrop, but the full trail stretches over 14 miles through Mc Phelemy Park. Your dog is welcome to join you for some exercise and sightseeing, and there are even parts of the lake that he can splash around in. Head southwest to Salida, which is about 17 miles from Nathrop, to catch the dog-friendly Monarch Scenic Tram, which glides over 12,000 feet up the mountains for some of the best views around with your pup.

North of Nathrop, you'll find even more beautiful trails to enjoy, like the Kroenke Lake Trail and Mount Belford Trail, both of which are in Buena Vista. The Midland Bike Trail is another pupular one in Buena Vista that offers over eight miles of dog-friendly space to explore. If you and your pup are adventurists, Nathrop’s surrounding areas offer plenty of fun for both of you!
