The New River Road and Shangri La Lane area is home to the Daisy Mountain Trail. Although the trail is steep, the view from the top makes the climb worth it. This loop trail gains 1250 feet in elevation and clocks in at 6.8 miles, so make sure your pooch is ready for some serious exercise. Water is not available at the trailhead, so you’ll need to bring enough H2O to keep you and your pup well hydrated. Cave Creek Regional Park is only 15 miles southeast of New River in the rural town of Cave Creek.
