Dogs can be off-leash or on a leash at this park, but be advised that it isn't entirely fenced in, and it borders an elementary school field. There is a wide open green space pawfect for playing fetch with your dog, and this space leads to a more rugged and wooded area where you can also explore with your dog. The wooded area leads to a ravine where some dogs like to swim. Throughout the park, there's also a walking trail you can trek with your pooch.

This no-frills dog park is a fully-enclosed space for dogs to play off-leash, but it doesn't include separate areas for big and small dogs. The dog park is known for being frequented by friendly people and their pets, and it includes running water for dogs to drink, as well as doggy bags and lots of seating for pet parents. There's a playground located next to the dog park, which is convenient for parents of two- and four-legged children! Your dog can join you in these other areas as long as they're on a leash.

In addition to having sports fields and courts, gardens, and picnic sites, there is also a designated off-leash dog area! The Kennedy Park Off-Leash Area is a section of the park with unpaved trails where your pooch can romp, run, and ruffhouse with some new canine pals. The off-leash space isn't fenced, but some signs will tell you where you can let your dog off-leash. Some of the park's other features include walking trails, a skate park, and a bike path. Your dog is welcome to join you throughout Kennedy Park on a leash.

Southwestern Petaluma, California is about 30 miles from Oakville, and this area is home to McNear Park. This almost eight-acre park has all sorts of recreational opportunities, including a designated off-leash space during certain hours! There are horseshoe facilities, multi-use fields, sports fields and courts, and playgrounds. The off-leash area isn't fenced in, but dogs are allowed to explore leash-free from 6 AM to 11 AM Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 8 AM Saturday and Sunday, and 8 PM to 10 PM Monday to Sunday. Other areas of the park are dog-friendly, but pets aren't allowed off-leash.
