Dog Areas in Larkmead

Larkmead is located in Napa County, California. This town is set on the Napa River in the middle portion of the state, an area known for its wineries. Larkmead is certainly no exception -- you'll find three wineries to visit here!

Castello di Amorosa is a beautiful castle and winery. Check out its tours, tasting rooms, or pairings, where you're sure to find your new favorite wine. The best part is, your pooch can explore the grounds with you! This is a busy spot, so keep your dog close.

Dutch Henry Winery is a small, family-owned, and pet-friendly winery that even features a large yard where Fido can play! Cuvaison Estate Wines also has a warm, welcoming, and pet-friendly environment with fine wines. There are also tree-shaded picnic grounds!

If you’re looking for a trail, check out Oat Hill Mine Trail. This trail is 8.3 miles and follows an old stage coach route between Calistoga and the western end of Aetna Springs Road in Pope Valley. Pets are only allowed to be off-leash if under voice control.

In Calistoga, which is 4 miles away, is Solbar, which serves artfully constructed dishes in an elegant setting with a spacious dog-friendly outdoor seating area. There is plenty of room between the tables and the outside seating area, which is well off the path between restaurant and adjoining resort.

It is mostly an off-leash dog park, but there are areas that they would like you to have your pooch on a leash; still, it is not strictly enforced. There is an area that is enclosed with a double gate for your pooch to run free and make other canine friends. Your pup will enjoy playing on the agility equipment. and if they get thirsty, there is a large water pan with running water. Keep in mind that there is not a lot of shade. The park does provide waste bags and waste stations, along with benches for owners and pups to sit on. Your pooch will not want to leave this paw-some park!
