If you are looking for a scenic route to enjoy with your pooch, this city has a great view for you both. It is located only 7 minutes from Larkmead, California and is home to the Oat Hill Mine. This place allows you and your pooch to have a beautiful hike in the heart of wine country. Your pooch is allowed to be off-leash, as long as they will listen to vocal commands from you. The trail is made of dirt and is a pretty easy hike. It is fairly well-shaded. You will need to bring along water and doggy waste bags for your journey.

This city is located about 23 miles from Larkmead, California and is home to Alston Park. This is a very large nature reserve that is mostly covered in wood chips, but there are some grassy areas. It is mostly an off-leash dog park, but there are areas that they would like you to have your pooch on a leash; still, it is not strictly enforced. There is an area that is enclosed with a double gate for your pooch to run free and make other canine friends. Your pup will enjoy playing on the agility equipment. and if they get thirsty, there is a large water pan with running water. Keep in mind that there is not a lot of shade. The park does provide waste bags and waste stations, along with benches for owners and pups to sit on. Your pooch will not want to leave this paw-some park!

This city is located about 20 miles from Larkmead, California and is home to the Rincon Valley Community Dog Park. This dog park is very well-maintained, and it has lush, green grass for your pup to run around on. It is an off-leash dog park that is completely fenced-in, and it also provides separate areas for different sizes of dogs. There are plenty of benches and trees for shade. The park has water in case your pup gets thirsty from running around. If you pup gets too hot, they can take a swim in the pond that is located in the park. Just remember to bring waste disposal bags with you to clean-up after your pooch.

This dog-friendly neighborhood is home to Russian River Adventures. It is about 30 miles from Larkmead, California and is a great way for you and your pooch to have fun. They offer pooch friendly canoe trips and also sell doggy life vests for the trip. The trips are not guided, but they will provide you with instructions to follow. You and your pup will have a blast! There are several spots along the way to stop and swim, have picnics, or just hang out together. At these spots, there are sand bars and rope swings for you to enjoy. They allow you to bring food and any type of beverage, including alcohol. The river is not fast, so you can just take it easy and enjoy the view as you and your pup sail along at your own speed.

This city is a great place to bond with your pooch. It is located about 36 miles from Larkmead, California and is home to the Ernie Smith Community Regional Park. This park has a large area for your pooch to run around off of his leash. It is also fenced in for your pup’s safety. Most of the terrain is grassy, and there are also walking trails to take your canine friend on. There is plenty of shade and many picnic tables for you and your pooch to enjoy. You will need to bring water and waste bags when you visit.
