As a smaller incorporated town in downtown Sonoma County, Windsor is a peaceful destination only 63 miles from San Francisco, 9 miles north of Santa Rosa. Other neighboring cities in the Windsor area include Healdsburg and Forestville. After an unfortunate fire in the early 20th century, Windsor has been rebuilt to accommodate a dog-friendly environment or booming tourist attractions.

In Windsor, there are currently two dog-friendly accommodations for you to choose from: a mixture of popular Airbnb rentals or the beautiful little Cottage in Sonoma’s Wine Country. Both accommodations are under $300 per night, and allow dogs to stay with you at little or no charge.
