Central
If you’re looking for a place to get some grub, and you want to let your canine companion join you, make sure to give Flipside Restaurant a visit. Located in downtown Rock Hill, Flipside prides itself on serving all of the Southern classics: shrimp n’ grits, ribs, smoked chicken, and more! Fido can join you at one of their outdoor tables. Want to grab a pint of beer with some friends? Head to McHale’s Irish Pub, where you can enjoy a beer in the company of your dog! A leash is required at both establishments – for Fido, of course!

Winthrop University
Ever want to do some shopping with your pup? He can join you at House of Thrifts, a local second-hand store that donates proceeds back to the community. After you’re done shopping, head over to Groucho’s Deli! This popular deli, local to South Carolina, has a couple of dog-friendly outdoor tables so you can chow down while your hound rests at your feet! The fries are delicious, so be careful that Fido doesn’t try to steal any from your plate. A leash is required, as is good behavior, at both establishments.

Anne Springs Close Greenway
Located less than fifteen minutes north of Rock Hill is Fort Mill’s Anne Springs Close Greenway, where you’ll find Mary Warner Mack Dog Park. This isn’t just any dog park, though; this popular bark park spans a massive twelve acres! This means your fur-iend has plenty of room to run around and get in his daily exercise. If you want to get in some exercise alongside your canine companion, there’s also a trail within the dog park. There’s a dog washing station in case your pup has too much fun and gets dirty, which it seems is every dog’s favorite thing.

New Gray Rock Road
Fort Mill’s Gray Rock Road neighborhood is home to Central Bark Dog Park. Although the names might be tricky to say a few times fast, it’s not a tricky trip to get there; just drive fifteen minutes north of Rock Hill. Central Bark Dog Park is a smaller dog park, but locals say that it’s usually not too busy, so there’s plenty of room for your pal to run around while making a few new friends. There are plenty of benches for pup-parents to relax on; just make sure to bring enough water for the both of you and some waste disposal bags for Fido. A membership is required.

Lansford Canal State Park - Catawba
Fifteen miles southeast of Rock Hill is Catawba’s Lansford Canal State Park, and if you’re looking to explore somewhere new with your canine companion, this is a great place to start! There are three trails located within the park, and while all of them are pretty easy to traverse, the park’s website says that each one offers “something a little different.” No spoilers, though! You’ll have to see for yourself. Several picnic shelters are scattered throughout the park, so make sure to bring along a doggy bag for you and Fido! A leash is required within the park, and don’t forget to bring plenty of water.
