The best dog friendly neighborhoods in Wellington

Bush

Bush is a northern neighborhood of Anniston, Alabama, which you'll pass through on your way to Weaver. It’s a welcoming community separated from the city center by McClean Boulevard and Anniston Easter Bypass. Along these arterial streets, you'll find cafes, shopping centers, and small businesses. If you're passing through the area, you may want to check out Michael Tucker Park, home to the Chief Ladiga Trail. The area is pet-friendly, as is the trail, which stretches far beyond the city. You can always camp here or just explore the forests and undeveloped terrain with your pooch on-leash! Always bring lots of water with you.

Gadsden Center

Gadsden’s downtown is a unique place to have fun with Fido and enjoy scenic views while walking along natural landscapes. The central area is filled with cultural and entertainment venues, including a petting zoo, which is a great joy for kids of all ages. However, what you and your fur-baby will love is James D. Martin Wildlife Park and James Martin Trail. The park overlooks a 300-acre lake, which is an amazing place to fish in the shade! Pooches are welcome to join their parents on-leash. You can either walk around the lake and the creek or have a wonderful adventure along the shoreline of the lonely island right in the middle of the lake!

Guntersville City Center

You'll hear locals call Guntersville “the Lake City”, and it isn't hard to see why! Located at the southernmost point of the Tennessee River on the lake, the town has plenty to offer visitors and tourists! Apart from the Historic District with local businesses, cafes, and places of interest, you will also find Guntersville Dog Park. Yes, right in the city center! Located off Sunset Drive and near the lake, this is a pawesome spot to let your mutt off-leash! Big or small, each pup will find the right puppy peers to play with in one of two separate sections for small and large breeds. The park is also adjacent to the trail, so you can walk with Fido on-leash.

Woodward

As one of the central neighborhoods in northern Trussville, Woodward has an advantage! Here, you'll find a shopping area with malls, restaurants, and cafes at Chalkville Mountain Road just 5 minutes away, right off I-59. However, if you pre-fur to have some fun with Fido off-leash, travel in the opposite direction. Cahaba Dog Park is a secret place only the locals (and very observant travelers) know about! This is a small and well-cared-for area for pooches of all sizes to play and have fun together. This dog park was established thanks to the local community, who came together to make it happen. This 1.5-acre park is for members only.

Fulton Springs

Fulton Springs is a neighborhood in Fultondale, just north of downtown. The neighborhood features beautiful homes and is divided into two sectors, each of which has a separate entrance. This area is sparsely populated and has little to offer in comparison with the area off Sayers Road. There is a hidden gem here, though. Canines have their own place in the neighborhood: Black Creek Park. It’s a multipurpose park with magnificent trails (covering ruffly 3 miles of nature), a sports complex, children’s park, and a bark park! The doggie park offers off-leash fun and two separate enclosures for small and large mutts. Both areas feature plenty of shade and drinking water.
