Antelope is an amazing city in Sacramento County, California. It's about 15 miles away from downtown Sacramento and just five miles away from the town of Roseville. The city is popular with dog walkers who want to live close to the busier parts of Sacremento, while still having plenty of room to run and roam around. 

Folsom Lake is a short drive to the east of Antelope and is a very popular destination for dog walkers and families to beat the heat while enjoying the beautiful California scenery. Just make sure you have plenty of clean-up bags so that you can help keep the lake dog-friendly and clean. 

Gibson Ranch County Park is located to the west of Antelope. It's just a short drive, and well worth it if you love trees and hiking. This terrain is best suited for dogs wearing harnesses instead of a collar, so be sure to keep your dog as comfortable as you can and pace yourself so that you both can enjoy the trip.

You will want to pack your tennis balls or Frisbees to entertain your pup. You will also want some snacks if you plan on being there for a little while. A travel-sized water bowl for your dog is always a great idea, especially on hot days. Make sure your waste bags are easily accessible as well. Dogs must be leashed at all times in the community park.

The real estate is popular with commuters, with easy access to parks and dog-friendly activities as well as highways that make getting to the neighboring towns a breeze. The Blue Oak Park is a well-loved spot for dog walkers who want to roll out a picnic blanket and enjoy plenty of sun while their dog sniffs the place out. Tetotom Park is just one of several local parks where dogs are welcome. There is no fence, so you will need to keep your dog on-leash.
