Doggie waste bags are supplied by the dog park. Trees and grass provide a pleasant setting for on leash strolls. Edna’s Playground at 1 Garrod Drive has a small area for off-leash exercise. Agility equipment adds a little bit more fun to this quaint park.

Elk Grove

Elk Grove is 40 miles south of Knights Landing. Morse Dog Park is located at 5540 Bellaterra Drive. This dog park is a fully fenced enclosure for off-leash socialization and exercise. There is a separate area for small dogs. Morse Dog Park has water available on-site including a hose for rinsing off. Benches provide a place from which human companions are able to supervise their pups. The dog park is open from 6 a.m. until 8:30 p.m. Paesanos, located at 8519 Bond Road, serves pizza and pasta at dog-friendly outdoor tables. Servers make sure the four-legged friends have a bowl of water while the human companion scans the menu for entrees.

Citrus Heights

Citrus Heights is 38 miles east of Knights Landing. C-Bar-C Dog Park is located at 8275 Oak Avenue. This dog park is a fully fenced grassy enclosure made for off-leash exercise and socialization. There is a separate area for small dogs. C-Bar-C has water on-site, and a couple of kiddie pools give pups a nice cool splash on those hot days. Benches dot the dog park so human companions are able to sit and supervise their furry friends. Doggie waste bags are in plentiful supply. A paved walkway surrounds the dog park so a dog and person can take an on-leash walk together. C-Bar-C is open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Carmichael

Carmichael is 35 miles east of Knights Landing. The Carmichael Dog Park is located at 5750 Grant Avenue. Carmichael Dog Park is a place where dogs get some off-leash exercise and spend some quality time making a few new fur-iends. The dog park has water available onsite. Small dogs have their own separate enclosure. The surface is covered in wood chips, but the surrounding premises have some grass and trees. A few benches give people a place from which they can supervise their dog. Doggie waste bags are kept well-stocked. Open from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m.

Rio Linda

Rio Linda is 26 east of Knights Landing. Armand Nadeau Dog Park at Westside Park is located at 6601 W. 2nd Street. This dog park is a fully-fenced enclosure for your dog’s fun and socialization. It is approximately one acre in size. There is a water fountain designed for both dogs and people. A kiddie pool is available for dogs to take a dip on a hot summer day. A bench and a picnic table are provided so you can watch your pawesome pal run around and make new fur-iends.. Doggie waste bags are provided and make for convenient cleanups. Hours are from dawn to dusk.
