Central Littlerock

Central Littlerock

Everett Martin Park in Littlerock is a fantastic park with three distinct sections. The first is the community pool. Sadly, splashing is for humans only, so you’ll have to head deeper into the park to enjoy it with your pup. The second section houses a playground and a picnic table area. This is a great place to drop off the kids, but if you want quality time with your pup, you can press on to the last section: a large, open field. While this area may sometimes be used for sports, it’s also just a great place to walk your dog! Explore the meadow and sniff out every leaf and squirrel trail!

Antelope Center

Antelope Center

Antelope Center in the nearby town of Sun Village is just seven minutes from Littlerock by car. Load up the whole family, because  the Jackie Robinson Park located here has it all. Your dog isn’t welcome inside the gym or community center, but the rest of the grounds are ripe for exploring! Take the trail through the hills for a puptastic adventure. There are also sports fields for the two legged members of your family, and even a playground. Some of the fields have lights, so this park can stay open after dark if you’re willing to stick to walking laps around the fields.

Longview

Longview

Eight minutes up the road from Littlerock is the small community of Pearblossom. As country simple as the name is, it still can’t fully conjure up the charm of this small community and its beautiful park. Pearblossom Park is centered around the playground. However, even shy dogs will love to explore the area… if you plan strategically. If you avoid peak hours (such as immediately after school lets out) this park is a quiet place to get away from it all. Walk the paths or sit in the grass- there’s plenty of reasons for canine happiness at Pearblossom Park.

Pearland

Pearland

Pearland is an eight minute drive from the heart of Littlerock. Pearland’s community park is the Domenic Massari Park, and it’s well worth the drive. This park emphasises green space and room for sports. While there is a playground, it’s on the smaller side. This is good news for dogs who love to follow their nose, because it leaves more room for exploring! You can easily lap the various park features for a customizable walk length that fits the workout you’re looking for. When you’ve tuckered your dog (or yourself!) out, relax under the shady gazebo and let another California afternoon roll by.

South Palmdale

South Palmdale

Palmdale borders Littlerock, and the South Palmdale neighborhood is just nine minutes by car. There’s no excuse for missing the Palmdale Dog Park here. If your dog loves running off leash and  meeting new best friends every time he heads to the park, this is the place for him! This park serves a large community area, so dogs from all over come to run and play every day. The dog park has separate areas for large and small dogs. Bring some toys if that’s what your pup prefers, since the park focuses on space over amenities like agility equipment. Bring your own water!
