The Escondido Falls Trail is a beautiful 4-mile out-and-back hike that will give you a stunning view of the Escondido Falls. The trail is a steep one and may be challenging for you and your dog, so make sure you wear good shoes and take breaks if your pup needs it. Your dog needs to be on leash the entire time, and be sure to pack water and clean-up bags since it is a conservancy zone. This trail is very popular with locals and horseback riders, so your dog will love all the socializing he can do. After a great hike stop by Geoffrey’s Malibu. Geoffrey’s offers tasty California cuisine and has a great outdoor patio that your dog will love.

While visiting, your dog needs to stay on leash. If you’re looking for a mild hike, then check out Solstice Canyon. This hike offers a great view of the ocean and a fun little grotto to play in. Your dog needs to stay on leash while visiting since there are some ruins that Malibu doesn’t want disturbed. Be sure to bring clean-up bags and water, as there is none available here.
