Malibu is a beautiful beach city located in Los Angeles County, and if you and your dog love good food and fun beaches, then it's the place for you. Malibu is most known for being home to some of Hollywood’s movie stars, but your dog will probably be more concerned about the 27-miles of coast that he can see when traveling in Malibu.

If you’re driving through Malibu and need a place to stay, you’re in luck. Calamigos Guest Ranch and Beach Club, Cabin in the Pines at Sage Hill, and Malibu Mountain Getaway are just a few of the pet-friendly places you can stay with Fido. Malibu is home to 8 awesome veterinarian clinics that your dog can visit to get a health checkup before hitting the beach. Malibu is also chalk full of pawsome trails, like the Zuma Ridge Trailhead, that your dog can explore, just make sure they stay on leash!

Malibu offers tons of yummy eateries for the foodie in you and your dog. Make sure to stop at Bui Sushi, Coral Beach Cantina or Tra di Noi which seems fancy but is a great casual Italian restaurant that loves when your dog stops by for some spaghetti.

The Escondido Falls Trail is a beautiful 4-mile out-and-back hike that will give you a stunning view of the Escondido Falls. The trail is a steep one and may be challenging for you and your dog, so make sure you wear good shoes and take breaks if your pup needs it. Your dog needs to be on leash the entire time, and be sure to pack water and clean-up bags since it is a conservancy zone. This trail is very popular with locals and horseback riders, so your dog will love all the socializing he can do. After a great hike stop by Geoffrey’s Malibu. Geoffrey’s offers tasty California cuisine and has a great outdoor patio that your dog will love.

The park has miles of different trails that you and your dog can hike and explore, but your pup does need to be on leash always. The park will give you a beautiful view of the California coast line.
