There are also picnic tables and grills so you can cook up some treats for you and your furry friend! Just be sure to bring some water for your pooch on hot days since there isn’t a lot of shade here.

Hesperian Blvd/ Bockman Rd

Every pooch has got to get her daily exercise to keep that tail wagging, so when you are in San Lorenzo, head over to McConaghy Park. Here you can stretch your pup’s legs on the grass, which has plenty of trees your dog can investigate and that provide shade on hot days. There are also benches where you can relax in the sun, as well as four tennis courts that the family can enjoy. Since the park is open and next to a road, it may be best to keep your beloved canine on leash at McConaghy Park.

For a furrific adventure with your furry friend, head to the Hayward Regional Shoreline when you are in San Lorenzo! This is a pawsome place where you can explore the wetlands and take in the fresh sea breeze. There are sniff-tastic trails that your pup will love to explore, where you have the opportunity to admire the scenery and spot the wildlife that live here. While pooches are welcome on leash at the Hayward Regional Shoreline, rules state they should not go south of the West Winton Avenue floor control channel. But, don’t worry, you can still have a puptastic day exploring and exercising with your four-legged friend in most parts of the park!

Outrigger Dr/ Flagship St

For a fun day out with your furry friend, head next door to San Leandro! Here you can enjoy some fun in the sun at the San Leandro Marina Park, which is a furrific park that your pooch will love to explore. The Bay Trail System runs through here, which means there is a seven mile sniff-tastic trail that you can follow with your pooch. There is also plenty of green grass for rolling and roaming, with picnic tables and barbecues for a treat where you can enjoy views of the marina. All pups can be top dog here, as long as they remain on leash.

Cherryland

Just next door to San Lorenzo, you will find the pawsome neighborhood of Cherryland in Hayward. Here you can take a trip to Meek Park with your furry friend and enjoy some fun in the sun. This puptastic spot has lots of open green space where you can play fetch with your beloved canine, as well as having some trees that are worth investigating! In addition, there is a walking path at Meek Park where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll with your pup and take in the beautiful surroundings.
