While pooches are welcome on leash at the Hayward Regional Shoreline, rules state they should not go south of the West Winton Avenue floor control channel. But, don’t worry, you can still have a puptastic day exploring and exercising with your four-legged friend in most parts of the park!

For a fun day out with your furry friend, head next door to San Leandro! Here you can enjoy some fun in the sun at the San Leandro Marina Park, which is a furrific park that your pooch will love to explore. The Bay Trail System runs through here, which means there is a seven mile sniff-tastic trail that you can follow with your pooch. There is also plenty of green grass for rolling and roaming, with picnic tables and barbecues for a treat where you can enjoy views of the marina. All pups can be top dog here, as long as they remain on leash.
