On the outskirts of Sonora is Standard Park featuring 12-acres of park fun your dog will love. The park offers numerous sports fields, plus picnic tables, bleachers, and a large grass area. There is a paved walking path that goes around and throughout the park where you can get a good walk in. The park backs up to the Curtis Creek, perfect if your dog loves water. While out at the park, don't forget to bring water and your clean-up bags along, and make sure to keep your pup on a leash. Located in Sonora, and only five miles from Tuolumne, your dog won't mind the small car ride to this pawsome park.

Twain Harte

The Eproson Park is a lovely park to spend the day at with your furry pal. The park has a ton of amenities that you and your pup will love, including a baseball field, playground, picnic area, skate park, bocce courts, community garden, restrooms, and a concession stand. A streamside trail runs through this park where you and your dog can get a great day's worth of exercise in. This pawsome park is located in Twain Harte, and only seven miles out of Tuolumne. Make sure to bring water along since the park doesn't have a lot of shade.

Sonora

If your dog is itching to go on a hike, check out the Dragoon Gulch Trail. This dogtastic trail offers a 2.2-mile hiking adventure with a 272-foot elevation gain on a loop style route. The short trail is covered in trees to keep the two of you shaded, and you will pass the Woods Creek where you can stop for some water. The trail is perfect for any skill level of hiker since it is short and it isn't too hilly. Located in Sonora, and only eight miles from Tuolumne, your dog will have a great time on this hike with you.

Southwest Jamestown

Enjoy a hike along the Table Mountain Trail with your furry pal by your side. The trail sits on the edge of the New Melones Lake and gives you a great view while your hike. With a 3.8-mile hike and a 610-foot elevation gain on a loop style route, your dog will get more than enough exercise out on this trail. Your dog does not need to be on a leash when hiking this trail, but there are numerous caves and some steep points, so keep an eye on them while you are out. Located only twelve miles out of Tuolumne in Jamestown, your dog will love hiking with you in this great location.
