Glenwood Springs
The Doc Holiday Grave Trail is an easy 0.7-mile path to hike with your pup. The trail has a 216-foot elevation gain on an out and back route, and is paved, giving you and Fido an easy walk. If your dog isn't much of a hiker, head over to Extell Park for a fun day out. The park is small, but is perfect for a good walk or a session of fetch with your pup. While there are benches for owners to sit on, make sure to bring water and clean-up bags with you to the park.36

Devereux Road
Two Rivers Park sits along the Colorado River, and offers great amenities for you and your dog to enjoy. This parks features a playground, rock climbing, grass for fetch, restrooms, and benches for owners to sit on. There is a great walking path that you and your pup can use for a good afternoon walk, all while having a great scenic view of the mountains. If you and your pup want to have a picnic, the park offers a covered picnic area that you two can use. Take a moment to let your dog splash in the river before heading home, but don't forget your water and clean-up bags!24

Park West/ Glenwood Park
The Veltus Park is a beautiful area to visit with your dog by your side. This park offers a playground, covered picnic area, benches, and plenty of trees for shade. Fido can play fetch on the grass or get a good walk in on the walking trail that goes along the Roaring Fork River that borders the east side of the park. If Veltus Park doesn't work for your dog, head over to Vogelaar Park. This lovely spot offers a great walking trail, grass for fetch, and plenty of trees for shade. It doesn't sit right on the river, so if you pup isn't a fan of water, then this is the park for him.12

Timber Creek
Take your pup out to the High Tails Dog and Cat Outfitters for a great day of pup retail therapy. This pawsome pet store offers food, supplies, and equipment that your dog will love. You and Fido can browse the selection of toys and treats, or even leave with a new collar. Afterwards, head over to Dairy Queen for a bite to eat and something sweet. They dish out some classic American grub, like hamburgers and hot dogs, plus they have delicious ice cream desserts. Their outdoor patio welcomes you and Fido to take a seat and enjoy your meal together.
