Bartow is located right off the Peace River, and just 39-miles out of Tampa, in the sunny state of Florida. Though Bartow is a little off the main tourist areas, it is still a great place to visit for some great restaurants and trails to hike along. Home to six veterinarians, you can feel safe knowing that your pup will be well taken care of while visiting.

Head over to the Mary Holland Park for a fun day out on the water. The park is located right off the Blue Heron Lake and offers a playground, fishing, pavilions for shade, and picnic tables for relaxing and gatherings. Your dog will love exploring the park and lake, but make sure to keep him on leash while you visit.

The Bartow Park is another great park to visit with your furry pal. The park is mainly used for baseball games, but don't let that steer you from coming here. It also features a huge grass field, where your dog will be dying to play fetch on, and a beautiful walking trail that takes you along the park edge.

After a fun day out, make sure to stop into Palace Pizza and grab a bite to eat. Palace Pizza serves traditional Italian food including pasta and pizza, and they even offer a gluten free menu. They also serve gourmet pizzas and subs, and feature a dog friendly patio, so your furry pal can come and dine alongside you.

With all the amazing restaurants, parks, and shops that your furry best friend can join you at, it is no wonder the two of you come to Bartow to partake in a fun day out.
