Lakeland Highlands Rd
Just a few minutes away from Highland City, you will find Holloway Park. Although this park is not a dog park, it is located near a groomer, so don't be surprised if you see some furry friends at the park. Holloway Park is over 350 acres in size, complete with open fields, trails and scenic spots for observing wildlife. Dogs visiting the park and exploring the trails here must remain leashed at all times. Since this is not a dog park, you will need to take your doggie poop bags, toys, and water.36

New Jersey Rd
Just a five-minute drive from Highland City, you will find one of the only dog parks in the area: Dog Leg Woods. This dog park is pretty bare bones (pun totally intended!), so it would be wise to take your own amenities including dog poop bags, water and toys. However, it is completely fenced in so your pooch can run, play, and sniff out some new furry friends, all off-leash. Consider taking a good book with you and relaxing in the sun while your dog plays. The park is often frequented by regulars, so your pooch is bound to make some new friends!24

City Center
Just over 10 minutes outside of town, you'll find not one, but two dog parks! First. you have to check out Carter Road Dog Park. This is unlike any other dog park you have been to. There is a green area, a dirt and rock area, and even a lake for fishing. The park also has separate, fenced-in sections for large and small dogs. When you're done at this park, head to Diogi Dog Park. This adorable dog park has everything you and your pooch could want. There is plenty of seating, trash cans, water, and fresh-cut grass. Your boisterous buddy is sure to tucker himself out at both parks!12

Seminole Ave
Although Florida has plenty of natural outdoor spots to take your pooch -- like the beach or forest preserves -- sometimes, it's more fun to go to a dog park where your pup can play with some new canine pals. If you drive just 15 minutes from Highland City, you can take Lassie to Auburndale Dog Park. This park is split up into zones: one for large dogs and another for small dogs. This is a medium-sized park with places to sit for humans and lots of space for pooches to run and play. It's also adored by locals and has received incredibly high reviews and ratings, so you and Fido are sure to have a tail-waggin' good time here!
