Bethune Area
The Bethune Area of Haines City is heavily residential. Cook Field is a public field used mainly for sports. What it lacks in other amenities, it makes up for in space and convenience. If you’re looking for a place to walk your dog, Cook Field can do the trick. It’s also a large enough area that you can walk laps around it without getting dizzy, perfect for exercising even an energetic dog. It’s not fenced, so keep your pup on leash! The park is popular for little league events, so be aware if your dog doesn’t love crowds.

Southern Dunes Estates
The 8 Acre Neighborhood Park delivers exactly what the name promises! This park puts a little bit of everything together. There is a small children’s play area, and a small amount of space set aside for basketball courts and sports fields. The rest of the area is open! 8 Acre Neighborhood Park is perfect for walking your dog on green grass. There is plenty of space to roam, so even just walking the perimeter could be a workout. This park is heavily tied to the school cycle. If you avoid the after school and weekend morning rush, this place is a quiet getaway from the business of Haines City.24

Baker Dairy
The Lake Marion Creek - Stokes Preserve is a small, natural space at the edge of the Baker Dairy neighborhood of Haines City. This largely undeveloped space is perfect for packing up and getting away from it all. The main draw is the attractive water feature; the creek runs right through the park. Dogs do have to be leashed, but there’s nothing in place to prevent wading! There are also plenty of shade trees in the area if you want another way to cool down. Remember to bring your own bowl and fresh water, since this space doesn’t have drinking fountains.
